Hypothetical Question For You LSU Fans

Setting past revenue/profit differences aside for the sake of discussion:
Would you trade your 6 College World Series Baseball Championships for Alabama's 13 Football National Championships? (What we claim)
You're also gonna trade current fan interest (since it is, in large, a function of past success) Alabama fans are apathetic to baseball unless we're a consistent Omaha contender, which hasn't been the case in nearly ten years, so no more 8,000-10,000+ people showing up an SEC series.
In theory, really trading about 6 Baseball Titles for 4-5 football one's ('73, '78, '79, '92, '09) since few fans answering this were alive or aware of the one's in '61 & 64/65, much less 1925 and such.
And I consider Alabama & LSU Football Fanbase to relatively similar, so it is almost a "wash" for these purposes. Just curious your thoughts. (But yes, we get your 3 Football NC's and you get your CWS-runners up, '83 and to ya'll in '97.)

Man, this is so hypothetical, I cant even process this.

ill give you the tl;dr version:
would you rather be LSU or Bama (football and baseball only)

ha, yeah I tend to be a little wordy. Was to trying to avoid possible supplemental follow-up questions.
Cliffs Notes:
Trade your baseball "tradition" for our football "tradition." With the key qualifier being you also get our current apathy towards baseball with seemingly zero help from the Athletic Department to help Gaspard and before, Wells, make it better.

I would think about 90% of the people on here would make this trade as college football > college baseball.
eta: but I'm not sure if they'd admit it.

I would keep what we have. LSU football is still big here. Tailgates are fun, the team has been good this past decade why trade it for titles I was not even around or old enough to remember? I have been able to witness and remember our current success in football while also enjoying and watching the success of baseball. Yeah you may have a lot of football titles but it really does me no good when I was not around for the majority of them. It is like listening to the bandwagon yankee fans who talk about all their titles. Yet many were not around to recall two-thirds of them.

You'd claim that, too if you were an Alabama. Though I agree claiming the one from 1941 is a joke. Regardless, 13, 12, 11, 10 > 3. But 6 > 0 (baseball). So again, the trade-off and whatnot.
The real question: Alabama fans, in large, care about one sport: football. I happen to like baseball more than football, so I'm in the minority big-time. Just wondering if you'd rather claim (however many many NC's you want to give Alabama) but zero in baseball, or keep it like it is now?

I can't tell if you are just bitching about the state of bama's baseball program or posing a legit question.
Either way, no. LSU won its titles (in both football and baseball) without any allegations of cheating around the programs. It's common knowledge how dirty Bama is historically. I wouldn't want that hanging over my program's head.

no, only bammers claim that stupid shite. LSU could lay claim to several other champs with about as much legitimacy as some of the bammer ones.... we dont tho.

As an Alabama fan, I agree with you, fwiw. Drives me insane that no one cares about baseball. I'm not hating on softball, but annoying that so many turned their back on the baseball team when we started struggling to head to greener pastures.

this sounds like a prank from 'Emails from an a-hole'

I'm kinda just bitching about the apathy our Athletic Department and fans show towards the baseball program, yes...but at the same time curious as to just how seriously LSU fans take baseball relative to football.
Most our fans I'm guessing would rather go 0-54 in baseball than 11-1 in football.

LSU fans want to win in both. Plain and simple.

Our AD focus appears (at least after 2001) to be divided as follows:
Football 50%
Baseball 35%
Basketball 14%
Other 1%

I would rather our footbal tradition. I would rather our 3 NC's in footall and our 6 in baseball, all day. Mostly because I think that Alabama thinks that their shite doesn't stink. And that they claim multiple NCs in football that they didn't earn.
