I flipped on the Weather Channel just now and they are showing eastern Alabama right in the crosshairs of this incoming hurricane. It could veer East, but they may not know the path until it gets fairly close.

Is Auburn far enough inland that the powers that be won’t care about moving or postponing a game? Could the weather affect when the game is played? Has Auburn ever had a game altered by a hurricane? Just curious if this could end up having an impact Saturday. Hopefully not.

If it comes ashore on Wed night or early Thursday, and doesn’t devesyate the area, we could still play Saturday.

1. Don't watch the weather channel

2. Latest forecasts have it closer to the big bend of Florida with some still existing concerns it could end up near Tampa. Our game is likely to be unaffected.

Damn people. They are just questions. They don’t affect a storm out in the gulf.

Looks like it is coming ashore Friday afternoon directly south of auburn. With a storm moving due north, Saturday appears to be rainy and windy in auburn

Looks like Bama will barely be affected if things hold.

As far north of the coast Auburn is, I’m more worried about the game getting delayed by lightning and storms hanging out than cancelled or moved. That and high wind can really frick up a game plan.

Lightning would be only reason delays would happen

Move the game to Tiger Stadium. They probably already have Harsins bags packed for a trip.

Seriously, you are worrying about a football game when people's homes, businesses and life's will be affected.

Think about what you are doing and posting

Get the Ventusky App and stop watching media talking heads. Storm is going Coral Gables and Tampa.

I do hope that Florida and the gulf coast fare well and that families remain safe. We have been through it plenty in the past few years.

These replies are in regard to how it affects Saturday’s Game though.

Are you serious? This is a football message board and things that affect the game are what we talk about here. Unless you are headed to the coast to do rescue work and hand out clothes, food and water this weekend, you can come on down off that high horse.

It’s just like talk about game superstitions. Nothing we say on this board has any bearing on anything in the physical world- including what a storm in the Gulf of Mexico will do. You act like I’m wishing harm on people, or hoping the storm goes a certain track so our game isn’t affected, which I didn’t and I’m not. All I did was ask a few questions.
