Not to mention the emotional roller coaster and coming up short and deflated.

That makes me interested to see how they show up today. They're still in desperation mode, made even bigger by Mississippi State winning last night.

I can't imagine they come out deflated, but I have no idea.

The squeeze on cooper was fricking chickenshit tho

The ump squeezed them, too. One of the times Crews struck out it was on strike four.

Thompson gets a pass from me on one dropped popup when the wind shifted funny.

Have you forgotten he has played lights out this year?

We all kinda wondered how SS would be coming into this year, and Thompson has made play after play in the field and at the plate.

I want to see how Coleman does Sunday, and how they handle extending him. I'm not giving up hope on Hurd as a starter still.

We have a very fragile makings of a good staff.
- Skenes gives you a seven inning start
- Floyd gives you a six innings start
- Coleman gives you a four inning start
- Hurd follows Coleman in extended relief (4 or 5 innings)

That's 21 of 27 innings of a Super Regional. You just need to paste together six innings from Guidry, Cooper, Herring, Ack, Little, Dutton, Collins and Money

Good Luck on that statement!

If I'm being honest I'm really tired of our defense shitting the bed past 3 weeks or so. They're a huge part of why the pitchers can't put it together mentally.

I can't tell you how many times it seems like we could've avoided a disaster inning with a routine pop up that is either misjudged or dropped. it happens way too much and like clockwork, the pitcher falls to pieces right behind it.

If that was the only error Thompson earned but he has a history of mistakes

Hurd was told when he walked out to pitch to throw strikes and let your defense play defense.

He did what he was told and did not walk everyone.

They both contributed to the blown save. But the way Hurd responded was excellent to see.

Yea I looked at Cooper’s squeeze next to the Crews strike 3 call in the 11th I think it was and it was egregious. Game shoulda been over in 9.
They were both strikes. Crews K in the 11th was bad. At least Tommy hit the ball hard. Crews just needed to put one in play there. The odds of him getting doubled up are low unless it's perfect.
