How would you use your pitching staff in an ideal perfect scenario today?

I don't think we'll get 6 out of Gilbert, though. 4-5 would be fine. Need an inning out of Newman somewhere. Poche can go 2. Hess can go at least 1.

In a perfect scenario, Gilbert goes 9 today and Walker's arm is then replaced with a bionic one so he throws game 1 of the championship followed by Poche in game 2 and Lange in game 3 (if necessary).

I'm expecting about 4 from Gilbert to be honest which might make the middle innings tough.

People saying no to Poche for a couple of innings.. How is this any different than Poche pitching the 1/4 game in a regional then coming back on Monday.. Guess what.. It's not.

You have to win and make it to the championship series before you can worry about who pitches in the series. And Poche will be fine to come back next week.

Ask Poche if he wants to pitch today. He'll say yes.

I would be fine with Peterson in Game 1 if it means Poche goes today and we win, but he's not ready until Game 2 of the championship series.

TCU won't have their rotation set either.

ETA I expect Newman will be lights out. He always bounces back

No Bush, no Peterson. That's for damn sure.

Gilbert 5, Newman 2, Hess 2

Use Poche for an inning or two tops, if necessary. Really, our pitching isn't that bad off today.

Similar to this. No more than 3 for poche or 2 for Hess, unless absolutely needed.

Well, it would make absolutely no sense if he's unavailable.
