Before this year is over, I would not be surprised if Brennan (or even Narcisse) competes for time as starting QB.
They are very talented and may actually have higher ceilings than Burrow.

Why would you say this? Burrow has great size, good athlete, good arm strength, intelligent, and son of a coach.

He has just about everything you'd want. What advantage do those other guys have over him besides being in the program longer?

Look Burrow may be the next great NFL QB phenomenon but what up to this point has he done to make anybody crown him LSU starting QB. Good grief he has been at OSU for 31/2 years and all anybody can say is that he has a couple of good scripted spring games. And his HS film looks wonderful. That can be said for a number of our QBs. Guys we have 3 damn good QBs on our roster that have all accomplished in one way or another the same if not more than Burrow at this point.
This year:
Brennan does not RS and pushes for the starting position from day one. If he falls short he will be the primary backup and is one play away. The same could be said about Burtow if he does not beat out Brennan.

McMillian will transfer at the end of June. He knows he has to play now if he wants to play later.

Narcisse plays situational football for LSU.

"Obscurity" is not the point, and wrong anyway. No 20 yr old should give up their dream. If his dream is to be on the field then go for it after you've tried your best at LSU.

The trick is to somehow convince JM to stay on in 2018 season. I mean McMillan is not going to start at P5 conference or play QB on Sundays. So why transfer to division 1 AA and play ball in obscurity. It is better to finish his career as a backup at LSU.

"LSU Backup" = obscurity

Why not play somewhere?

You didn't start posting here until Brennan got offered. You right none of these guys have a ton of experience. But based on the film we do have (HS and college), Burrow looks more impressive. JM seemed most comfortable in the spring game. Although I think he would fare better with a transfer. We will see.

I'm thinking he lands at Stephen F. Austin.

I have explained it here a million times. I used to be a HS coach in ms. I am associated with Ms recruiting. Brennan is the best to come out of this state in a long time and you guys don't even recognize it. That is why I started posting when Brennan got offered. Had you ever heard of Brennan before he signed? My point exactly.

You are right...Brennan was a damn machine when he was in high school. The only knock on him was that he went to a small school. Darn sure can’t argue with his results, though.

Dual threat is just a label and there are many variations. Drew Brees was a dual threat guy at Purdue.

No no no, dual threat is just a fancy way of saying the QB is a black athlete who can sometimes connect on a pass.

Go tell Brennan you are redshirting him and watch how fast he transfers.

“ as fact”

Unless Joe gets hurt, he starts the season. I don’t see how anyone can think Coach O brought the guy here or that he agreed to come here to sit on the bench.
