How would the 2011 defense fare against Burrow and this years offense?

Not one team has slowed us down. Moo state and Auburn both slowed down the scoring, but not the offense.

The only time ive felt like our offense was shut down was 3rd quarter against Alabama and even then Joe missed 2 key throws that would have kept drives alive.

Its really hard to say that they couldnt stop us. But I have not seen anyone do it this year.

Our 2011 offense could score in bunches on our defense this year.

Auburn slowed us down! I’m sure 2011 would have done so also!!

That would be fun to watch. That great D against Burrow and the 4 Horsemen. That D would make plays thats for sure against this offense. It wouldnt nearly be this easy. And Burrow would have a dirty jersey.
Mathieu matching wits with Burrow.......

But no D is going to stop this offense. You have to hold them to a FG is all you can hope for. The offense wins this battle.

It would be pretty interesting. In 2011, we were deep enough to play 7+ DBS like Auburn did against us, and the 2019 tackles would have their hands full against Montgomery and Mingo. I would like to see how Brockers would fare on the inside.

Absolutely not

This offense would do whatever they wanted to on that defense

I disagree, 2019 would score but not much on that D

That defense will hold this LSU offense to 14 points and I am not even joking, possibly 21.

Sam Montgomery and Barkivous Mingos as the ends. Tyran Matthiew and Mo Clayborne as Islands. Eric reid as Safety. Micheal Brockers and Beenie Logan at the point of attack.

That defense was Nasty as frick!

Based on our O-Line play this year I’d give the edge to the 2011 defense...I’m not so sure Burrow would have a clean enough pocket to make the throws he’s made this year

That defense was great for 2011. But it never faced a QB with an 80% completion rate.

That defense never saw an offense that got rid of the ball this fast and went 4 or 5 wide and ran tempo not allowing for substitution.

I am by no means saying it would look like last night. CEH would be hard-pressed to get 100 yards but this offense would score in the 30s.

I recall what that D did to Oregon in the first game of that year. Oregon had about the same reputation we do now on Offense.

Burrow is definitely the most valuable player between the 2 teams, but I would like 2011's chances in a H2H
