With the 85 limit every school is going to get talent. If you go by recruiting rankings from the last 4 years Ole Miss should not have been on the field with us or Auburn

you obviously don't follow recruiting at all. orgeron recruited very well at OM, better than nutt did at arky easily and possibly better than tubberville. their class this year is a HUGE downgrade in talent from what O was bringing in. it will undoubtedly hurt them on the field if this turns into a trend

Honestly, I think Bama will be easier than Ole Piss next year. As of now, Houston Nutt has our freaking number

Our offense was not the issue (pick sixs witheld)
New DC and we could be fixed. We shall see.

I think we had better learn how to play defense.

All we need is a good DC and we'll be fine. Our raw talent is >> OM or Bama or Arkansas.

And there should be a night-and-day difference in QB play next year.

Tell me recruiting guru how many stars Hardy was coming out of high school?? No doubt O left them some talent, but no way he coaches this team to 8 wins. Nutt can't recruit?? He took Upig to Atlanta twice in 10 years and tied for the West another year. If you think Ole Miss is just going to suck after O's players leave you are nuts. They will never be top 10 year in and year out, but he will field very competitive teams.

I guess you didn't watch the Bama/AU game. If you had, you would have seen Greg McElroy, our next QB, in action. Don't fool yourself. We will have a passing game.

McElroy was not that good and is VERY inexperienced. Be ready to feel some of our pain......sticking him in for garbage time when you are winning 30+ doesn't really show you anything (i.e. Kody Burns)

Bama drops off a bit next year and loses 3. Ole Miss will be solid but also will fall off a bit due to people leaving.

Bamaboy, understand this, IF HATCH was healthy, you would've lost by 14+......we get MUCH better next year with solid defensive coaching plus experienced secondary. Offensively, LSU will be loaded for bear. This is not Koolaid, but reality.

Bama will compete but they will miss Sarah much more than they realize......losing stud o-lineman hurts too.

If we find a QB and DC we will be back on top. It's all on CLM shoulders to make the appropriate coaching changes.

I think they drop some on defense, but get beter on O. Most of their skill players will be back. Snead will be better with a year under his belt.

Sure!

Two in a row because LSU beat themselves two years in a row.

You could say that about all 5 games lost this season.

Build your team with players of character.

A winner should look and play like a winner.

Celebrate with your team mates, do not draw attention to yourself.

This is where we should begin in my opinion.

I invite your comments.

Ar-Kansas made a huge mistake in underestimating Nutt's ability to coach. There's some talent in that state, but he did a lot with a little(besides 5 star McFadden, and a few others, most recruits were 3 stars).Ole Miss will be up there, but his offense is always predictable too.LSU has the most talent of any team next year in the west, possibly along side Bama.If we take advantage of a young qb Bama will throw out there, and the loss of Smith on the OL,LSU can and will take back the west.Have faith in what ESPN call's one of the deepest teams in America.

Let me clue you in on the SEC food chain. LSU, BAMA & AU are going to win the west most years with the others slipping in every now and then. UF, UGA & Tenn will win the east and the others will eventually get lucky one year. The SEC big 6 has and will always rule ths conference with the others getting the crumbs. All of the "others" besides Vandy think "but we are different, we are on the rise". You may get better but you will always play second fiddle in the SEC. This isn't the weak arse SW conference.

When did I say we would win the west?

I was pointing out you could say lsu beat themselves in every loss.

Well, BAMA loses their QB. JPW isn't a Heisman QB, but he's a good, steady QB. Mauck and Flynn-like in my opinion. Doesn't make the bad mistake. They also lose two stallworths on the O-line including Caldwell who will be a top 3 draft pick.

Ole Miss loses a lot on defense. Also, remember Coach O did a great job recruting and stockpiling. His problem was he was a dummy coach. Nutt is a GREAT X's and O's coach, but a bad recruiter. I think he will be a 7-9 win coach each year at Ole Miss, but never more.

That's my two cents. I think with appropriate defensive changes, improved QB play and good deelopment from key players, particular all on defense, we will be much improved. Also, we won't have the giant bulls-eye on our back of beign the defending NC.

You my friend may be to smart for this board. Great post and I agree 100%. The sky has not fallen yet.
