I hear this all the time that before he went to Bama he tried to get his job back here. Is there any truth to this?

I know for damn certain that the top 10 to 20 TAF donors were contacted, when miles was supposedly going to michigan, if they wanted saban or spurrier.

Not talking about that, I'm talking about before he went to Bama.

My bad I got the year wrong. Why do you laugh? They were sent an e-mail and asked to vote. I saw the e-mail with my own eyes. Can't say who's e-mail but if I said it and told you how I have the connection you would believe me.

So you automatically assume that either would jump at the chance to come to LSU? I want to get a date with Jenna Jameson, doesn't mean it's going to happen no matter how many TAF members donate to my fund.

Its who they wanted the school to go after. And I know most people on this board are full of shite but I swear. Obviously I can't prove it now. Take it for what its worth. Which is basically nothing but whatever.

My father in laws boss is good friends with nick saban and when all the miles to Michigan rumors were going around, nick called him to have dinner in Monroe with some of the board members at lsu. Supposedly there was a number and saban was good with it, and the following Tuesday miles held the "I'm staying at lsu" PC

Didn't Miles hold that press conference Saturday morning before the SECCG? Or are you talking about a different time?

Thanks a lot Kirk herbstreit

fwiw, I think sabes definitely would have jumped at any chance to return to lsu. It's pretty much common knowledge he regretted leaving here the second he landed in Miami

Well supposedly my father in law, who has no reason to lie to me, spoke to his boss about it. And his boss was there. But god forbid someone know something that everyone on tiger droppings doesn't know.
Anytime someone hears something, they get a "cool story bro" or "thanks Kirk". So fricking gay

I've found out on several occasions how full of shite some of the top donors are. I hear stories like this which get started as rumors and because someone sends an email it doesn't mean LSU ever had knowledge or cared about it. It's just people with money pretending they have power here which is totally false. LSU doesn't have anyone that can write a check and make something happen. It's a nice thought because other schools have that but we don't. Continue thinking it all you want.

I don't disagree with that comment. But in this case it's the truth.
