We played VT in 2003?
Typo, I meant 2007. We did play @VT in 2002.

There is a way to keep everyone happy. There are ways to allow folks to continue to enjoy campus and GameDay for free. But the search for the almighty dollar must take a backseat to that path...and those at the top have an appetite too voracious for extracting every single possible dollar and creating as much profit from it as possible in order to take that path.
frick those guys.

For most of his life Alleva was not an LSU fan. He doesn't understand the culture and is only looking to monetize. He has no concern for the community/family tradition that makes LSU football what it is.

This is not true
Its 100% true. In 2014 there were huge sections of open seats in the upper decks and they weren’t in the Bama sections.

You are over hyping the downfall of the LSU gameday
How do you know those people didn't relocate their tailgate somewhere else?
On a normal gameday, I walk through TD Village to parade grounds, tailgate there for most of the day and then go to another tailgate either by Indian Mounds or Lockett
For a big game there are no less people now than there were 5-10 years ago
I know plenty of people who have given up there season tickets and parking passes but for Bama or another big game they are at the game and tailgating before.
Ok.

Ok. I’ve been at the same location on campus for 30+ years. The game day atmosphere is gone. You’re talking about the parade grounds, Indian mounds and Lockett. All within 100yds of each other and mostly student groups. I’m talking about the rest of campus. They killed all tailgating on Nicholson. They’re killing most tailgating on South Stadium. There’s space out by the lakes but no one wants to set up that far out. It’s only going to get worse.
This. And 2012 was the tipping point. It was visible and obvious the impacts of the new restrictions. There were more tailgates set up for low-level SEC games in 2010 than there were for Alabama in 2012. The number of people on campus on gameday feels like it's been cut by 60% or more.
I can count on one hand the number of home games I've missed over the last 15 years.

He needs all the money he can get so he can pay for his shitty guarantee he gave Miles 4 years ago.
And of course go cheap on hiring 0

It's a trial run to turn ALL tailgating over to private companies. Stand by...
