FWIW, the name of the owner of the NBC channel here in Denver is Tegna. That's who DirecTV/ATT is in conflict with at the moment. The local NBC channel, KUSA, channel 9 is temporarily off the air due to this dispute.
By the way, before AT&T bought DirecTV, I had satellite for nearly 20 years and experienced no interruptions in service due to disputes. It's only since AT&T is calling the shots that these disruptions have occurred. This spring, Altitude TV, the channel that covers the Colorado Avalanche NHL team, was taken off the air for several weeks due to an ongoing dispute with AT&T. It seems that AT&T is playing the bully on the block.

I dropped Hulu because Dish was cheaper by $20 except a two year contract. Then added a antennae that went straight to the hopper to get locals including FOX that we didn't get with dish. Much better picture than Hulu as well.

Your first mistake was getting direct tv. Youtube TV is the way to go nowadays.
