There is a small number of baseball posters on here that are head and shoulders above the rest. He is one of them. Most of us aren't. You are in the Most group.
Some people can't help themselves.

I get the competitive spirit thing with Guidry, but like him in the backend. We are deep this year. Middle inning relief should be strong.
I agree with this but if Guidry can continue to command all 4 pitches he is now throwing I think he would be in great position to win a weekend spot.
I think he will be battling with Eyanson for the Sunday spot with Shores and Anderson Friday and Saturday.
If Ware isn't starting, I think you see him in a role similar to Herring last season.
This is all very early opinion and prediction type things. I think we will see plenty of them early in the season and have many pitchers we can use in various roles. Will be fun to watch how they handle it.

OP is a baseball guy. Rantards, not so much.
That’s what I stated in my initial post. Hey man, I’m up for whatever works.
That’s just a massive change. To go from closer to starter. Don’t see that very often. I love him. Clearly I hope it works if true

I agree, a great curve and decent fastball won't cut it multiple times through a lineup when teams know what's coming. If he has added a couple MPH and a changeup then I could see him as a weekend SP.

To see Guidry become the Friday night guy would be a bit surprising to many, I think. There was talk at some point last season or maybe before last season of him possibly leaving. I like the kid, think he will do well, I just don't know if he is going to be the Friday guy. I suspect it will be Anderson to start. Either way, can't wait.
