I think the SEC's system is bad.

It assumes that among those three teams, there is one that is clearly worse. This should only be on account of a non-conference loss.

However, TT, OU and UT all were equal. It was a three-way tie, and none of them played anyone outside of the conference that should have been able to beat them. In this case, straight up taking the BCS rankings is better.

Perhaps there should be a clause that dismisses the third team if it is ranked more than five or seven spots below the the second team, then compare the top two for head to head...

Since you think eliminating one team and then using head to head is the way to go in a THREE team tie, I take it you think we should play the Red Raiders, and not the Longhorns, in the Fiesta, correct?

UR gonna get our azz handed to you either way, so .

TT and OU played the same North Teams

That sort of begs the question about what the frick kind of crazy arse inter-divisional scheduling system the Big XII has in place, doesn't it?

No its simple and vastly superior to the SEC and ACC.

Every team plays 3 teams from the opposite division home and home for 2 years, then plays the other 3 teams home and home. Every 4 year class will play every team in the Big 12 at least once at home and once on the road.

I like the Big 12 scheduling system. I never knew that was how it worked.

Just to weigh in my thoughts, I think Tech has a pretty good team and they were probably in the Top 10 of the BCS as well so you really shouldnt just eliminate them and only focus on Texas vs OU. Tech dominated Texas for the first half, just because they scored with 10 seconds left you can't just say they were lucky. Also, people like to bring up the neutral field factor, but why should it be even be a factor. That's where the game is always played and it's both Texas and Oklahoma's choice to play the game there. Neither team should benefit from where they decide to play the game. Texas is just the media darling this year and has everyone feeling sorry for them when they shouldn't. They lost to Texas Tech and this is the way there tiebreaker works.

Buckeye fan, you are retarded if you actually think Oklahoma should have passed up Texas. Pull your head out of your arse, they beat them on NEUTRAL territory 45-35. Also, their only loss in the whole season was to Texas Tech, who won the game in Lubbock with only 1 second left. Face it, the only reason Texas got passed up by OU was because Mack Brown isn't as classless as Stoops is by running up the score in every game. You'll soon realize how ignorant you are when Texas beats down OSU in the Fiesta Bowl and proves how overrated your football program and conference really are. Ohio State really should be banned from all BCS bowl games for the next few years. I'm almost embarrassed for your football program by getting completely dominated for the past two years. Texas will put on a show against y'all just to prove how good they really are this year and how they were robbed this season by the BCS.

It's a three way tie, idiot. OU, out of BOTH Texas Tech and Texas had the most difficult schedule and impressive resume.

Completely unrelated to this thread. Also, we're still 4-2 in BCS games, so I think we're usually OK.
