As fans, "we" probably shouldn't attack anyone because that's illegal. I'll let the coaches determine the best way to game plan against the BYU defense.

I will just say this, BYU may be a good team. But LSU has more depth and better athletes. Take all that and it equals an LSU win. It's our first game So it may not be pretty but it get a all the players ready for what's down the road. Game plan should be run the ball mix in the pass and a few of his gimmick plays.

as simple as this. just use part of our new offense unless we need more to win.

No doubt, I agree with most to pound the rock, however I have a feeling BYU is expecting that. On paper, LSU looks like they could beat nearly any team in the country. Wisconsin proved we were paper tigers. I hope CMC has plan A, B, & C against BYU. They will have a game under their belt, which helps them tremendously.

I like what I'm hearing about our defense in camp. If we stop Mangum, it's going to very a very long night for BYU.

For Heavens sakes throw some slant passes, post patterns, anybody at tight end in the middle of the freaking field. I haven't seen these plays by LSU in five years. Yes we should pound the rock, but not 57 times compared to 12 pass attempts. I'm excited to actually see a creative offense.

They're slow at corner, so I hope we finally have an OC that will exploit that.

These are the types of games that the team can develop chemistry and timing with the passing game. An above average opponent that will give you a good fight, but one that hopefully the Tigers can overcome with the talent gap.

LSU should spread them out and pass first in the first half. Then use the running game in the second half to let Guice get his stats and wear them down. Guice should only get like 8-10 touches in the first half and play every other series with DW getting about 4-5 carries and maybe even Helaire as a third down option if he can pick up pass protection. In the second half, give Guice about 12-15 carries on fresh legs. If the game is out of hand, let the young guys get experience ASAP.

Just my .02

Don't put those on film against a G5 opponent. Keep it vanilla in September and hit the big time opponents with the full playbook.

Gotta run a few to force others to prepare for anything, but keep your most effective gimmick plays in your back pocket when they are needed most. I would love to see a package of formations against BYU that will make some future opponents uncomfortable with game preparation.
