If we had a proven OC that Orgeron trusted and wouldn’t tamper with, I’d feel infinitely better.

Not sure that person exists.

He was working in high schools when Miles picked him up.
In the last 20 years, which successful college offense has he run?

I’m not saying I’m not going to root for him. My opinion has always been it’s an uneasy concern.

The 1994 season at A&M had Leland McElroy and Thomas run the ball. Corey pullig passed for 2 thousand yards 13 tds 7 picks. They won with defense and a running game

Ah LSU. The place where we can just take a chance on coaches, because, you know, it’s all the same thing. They’ve been around football their whole lives. Anyone can do this.

frick tard.

In high school, as a TE coach and in 2 partial interim stints as OC.

Everyone’s hoping for the best for Ensminger but it’s not disingenuous to say he has a checkered resume and a lot to prove.

it’s sad. Who cares if it’s been 24 years since he ran a decent offense. He’s been around it so he will be great no wonder the country laughs at LSU

I continue to be amazed that people think the outlook for LSU is bleak. It was bleak in 2015. We now have reloaded the line of scrimmage and linebackers. We now have a QB and a QB pipeline for the future. We have a kicker. We have a very strong recruiting class lined up.

We won 6 SEC games last year with a road heavy schedule. We have upgraded every position group. We do have a very tough schedule. Other than our forecasted win loss record due to a tough schedule I cannot understand what is up with you people.

We’re talking about concerns about the unknown coaching abilities. I’m not disagreeing with your opinion of positions and players.
Maybe it’ll work, maybe it won’t. When it’s unknown, it’s a concern.
Has nothing to do with anyone not rooting for LSU.

“ I love how you Canada apologist”

You do realize that this guy you think we need to apologize for had no problems getting a new OC gig and is currently an in term head coach at a power five school? I wasn’t happy with the LSU offense last season, but when the LSU head coach decides to step in and make changes that O becomes at least partially his and he owns the performance right along with the OC.

Coach O’s first major hire on the offensive side was a cluster frick and he owns the results more than anyone else. We all hope his do over works out better, but it should be pretty clear to everyone that the idea coach O isn’t going to interfere with his coordinators to be a false proposition.

Jim Chaney, OC Coach at Georgia was once OC at TN, what did he do there. How many reputable OCs did Miles hire while at LSU.
Apparently its not the coordinator but the entire staff that makes the team go.
We comin!

I think people forget how much of a cluster frick it was. I long it took, only to hire Steve and say he was the man all along.
No he wasn’t. He couldn’t find anyone else, didn’t look that hard or just wanted a yes man. I would pick all of the above.

I would be leery of any other hire. Ceauxch Slinger has been an integral part of the LSU offense for the past few years, he knows good offense. He is respected by other coaches. Only Miles would have the answer to all of his offensive woes right under his nose and not realize it. Luckily for us Ceauxch Eaux knows real talent when he sees it.

Why do you believe O?

Like you’re quoting the guy who just lost to arroyo.

If he fricked up the offense you think he is being honest?

I will say that Moscona has said on radio that he got the sense that Ensminger wasn't asked about the offense nor did he have any input on offensive philosophy.
