There's a lot more legitimate stuff to criticize Les about than what this Goober is saying.

Just kinda made me sad to say that I or any of us could get lumped in with this guy sitting in the stadium or a restaurant by visiting fans when he spews this crap on a Saturday..
Just kinda made me sad to say that I wonder if this thread isn't just a vehicle for your opinion.
Strange post.

If your passion prevents you from appreciating elite like results, then it's "too much". imo

Thing is, passion is sometimes little more than a cover for jerk like behavior.

Peeople with real passion can see that it's just a game, there are bigger things in life and still root the heck for their teams.
People who are borderline retards take football beyond just a game and that's when they start cursing people and wish ill happenings to players/coaches when things don't happen on the field the way they wanted it to happen. These are just unhappy people who live their lives based on the wins/losses of their teams and don't understand the entertainment value in them. They need help! The engineer falls under the latter category.

For me it's wearing "gear" everywhere, and "representing" LSU by shouting "tiger bait" at strangers wearing rivals' "gear" at the airport or the beach or anywhere outside of campus on game day.

Purple and gold furniture or, even worse, entire rooms are pretty damned ridiculous as well.

Some people get way too into this shite.

There's never too much passion. It's the ignorance that gets too much.

The last point is flat out disgusting and cruel. As for the 2 other points it wouldn't surprise me. This state is chock full of moron rednecks who think they know everything about football since they played 2nd string in high school football.

That combined with their ignorance overall makes for TERRIBLE football conversation. I can't bare to talk LSU football with rednecks.
