Ford will be a pretty damn good RB. He has the tools to be very good. I don't see great, yet and may never but few backs are. In LSU's offense, he will be a role player, as most of LSU's offensive skill players are to an extent. May get 8-10 touches a game. There is no huge drop off after Ware.

Ford is a victim of other guys stepping it up.

He is a great talent. He would start on at least 8 other SEC teams. Unfortunately for him, Ridley was a stud last year, and Ware looks like he is in a different universe.

You see Ware as the 1000 yard rusher though. If Ware goes down, is Ford a 1000 yard rusher? Or does LSU go to RB by committee approach? The fanbase seems excited about Ford, so I will have to take your word for it.

Sans injury, I see Ware as a 800-1,100/200-300 guy rushing/receiving. I see Ford as a 500-600 yd guy with about 8-12 touches a game. Ware will probably get double the touches Ford gets IMO.

Who knows at this point though. Just my opinion.

I am excited to see how dline does against LSU. I am stoked about our dline and it's the first time in awhile. Azzinaro did a tremendous coaching job with the talent that was there the last two year and it is finally fleshed out - literally.

I love the Polynesians in the middle and long rangy DEs and that is what Oregon brings to table this fall. Last year it was two DE that pushed to the middle.

I really see the middle of our defense as being the stoutest in a long time.

It will be a great barometer to gauge our perception vs. reality.

It's definitely going to allow both teams to know what needs improving, very quickly. Could be a positive, not a negative. I don't think playing directional state U gives a staff any idea of how their team will look against better comp.

Jissy08, that sure explains it. I just thought you were a LSU only posing as one of us to talk retarded and make us look bad(as some fans try to do). But well, now I know. And thanks for supporting us for the title game. I was always amazed at seeing and hearing fans from other places pulling for us. Stuff like last year, Bammers putting on our school colors for weeks, printing T-shirts with Roll Ducks Roll ect. If was our first title game, and I never have seen that before, so it was very special. We were always only a very tiny little group and if only for one game, to see so many pulling it was so special. So again, thanks for pulling for us on that game. And for you, even harder as I know many SEC guys hate to brake ranks. Sorry we let you down, or lost any guys money. We really did think we would win that actually and I never even spoke with any other Duck who was not convinced we would not win that.

Sadly my little one game Duck friend, we lost to a SEC team that close. We are considering this LSU game our "REVENGE OF THE BCS TITLE GAME" vs THE SEC in a way. So I am sorry it has to be your own school that gets our rath. Good luck though. At least whoever wins, at least all the hype building up to it will be a blast. And the winner will probably get the #1 ranking.

Good Luck. And thanks for pulling for us, if only for one game.

It's long been an old axiom that no team in college football improves more than from their first game to their second.

Which is why I like where we're at experience-wise relative to Oregon.

The new coordinator will only a
Cease the hickups. The problem with Gary crowton and the ol offense Is that it was too complicated. We were limited to Wgat we could play. I expect the offense to be more simplistic but much more effective in producing yards and big plays.

Two SR QB's & a JUCO NC caliber back up - check

Veteran RB's, & OL - check

Upgrade at primary WR - check

I'd say we are doing a little better

You know that Bammers would wear Nazi uniforms if they were playing Auburn, right?

We'll finish ranked in the mid 80's nationally in Total Offense..... despite the horses in the backfield.

You can expect pretty much the same as in the 2 previous years. Frustrating...

Finishing in the mid-80's nationally in total offense would be a HUGE improvement. Frankly, if LSU had finished in the mid-80's nationally in offense last year, this season opener would probably be a rematch of last year's BCS title game with LSU v. Oregon instead of AU v Oregon. Remember that LSU was in the top 5 going into November DESPITE having an offense that was ranked worse than 100 nationally.

As for how much improvement I expect...it can't get much worse. As they say in sales, the offense under a new coordinator has "tremendous upside potential".

Much to OU's dismay Lsu is going to pound the rock. U are going to have to have the ball in order to score. With Lsu running backs your asses are going to be dragging in the 4th. quarter
