not in the upper deck.

Uhhhh...why? Chair back (tiger terrace) west upper is the best seat in the house.

My seats are sec. 216 row 12 in the NEZ, right by the band and student section. I have only two seats, and the season total this year was $1396 with the loyalty fund.

I live a good distance away and go to what games I can, and typically sell the cupcake games at a loss. Sometimes I might sell a big game for a profit just to recover the loss, but only usually break even on the season, if I'm lucky.

IMO, the biggest advantage to being a season-ticket holder is the right to request road-game and post-season tickets (besides getting into games like Bama for actual face), but better get your priority points up.

Meh I usually see people get stuck with terrible seats for away games when getting them through LSU.

Usually, we get stuck with "terrible" seats for most (but not all) of SEC-road games, but that still doesn't negate the fact that it's more advantageous overall to be a season-ticket holder. And really, if a season-ticket holder is worried about getting stuck in terrible seats for the the SEC-road games we can still try our luck on the resale market the same as anyone else.

On the other hand, I've been fortunate to get great seats for the neutral sight and bowl games. To me, that's the biggest perk.

One personal example: in 2011, when we played Oregon in Arlington, I paid face for great LSU-section seats in the 200 level. My brother-in-law, on the other hand, paid nearly twice what I paid on the secondary market for seats in the corner of the upper deck (400 level).

I'm not suggesting what works for me works for everyone, but like I said in my original post, it's just my opinion.

Bump. I graduate in the spring and have been thinking the same thing lately, since I'll finally have money and time id like to go.

Join the Collegiate club NOW. You get 1 TAf point for every year in it. Additionally, join the Recent Grad program. It's $50 and you get bonus TAF points each year (I think 1 point). Additionally, donate $100 over 12 payments (or if you have it, at once) for 3 bonus TAF points.

I graduated in 2013, got 3 TAF for CC, and 4 per year since I graduated. I had a pretty solid pick of seats this year.
