Total offense has nothing to do with it. Hell Ole miss put up 522 total on Bama. It has more to do with special teams , field position and total D allowed

Turnover differential will be the bottom line. If we aren't +2, it won't be close.

LSU will need to throw for over 200 yards (no interceptions) and rush for over 125 yards (no fumbles).

We need 350+. If we turn the ball over we will need more. I agree one of the keys will be turnovers. If we don't turn the ball over we can stay with Alabama. What they are famous for is getting an offensive score backed up by a defensive score. The game goes from 3 points to 17 real quick.

This is correct. The last 3 games against the gumps in Death Valley in '10, '12 and '14, LSU put up well into 400's of total offense and the gumps only had in the high 200's in the last 2 games, yet still won. But, remember, we also had Les Miles back then and we'll see how this year's game will play out. No more stupid 4th and 1 wildcat sneak up the middle like in '12 or fake field goals please.

Depends on how many pick sixes we get off Hurts' inaccurate arm.

Huh?

LSU had 259 yards in 2014 and Alabama had 315. In 2012 LSU had 435 and Alabama had 331. Even in the win in 2010 Alabama had 325 yards.

They don't count yards at the end to determine the winner. LSU will need 1 more point than bama at the end to beat them!

Yards don't matter if we turn the ball over and allow them score non offensive TDs like they have been doing all season.

yards don't mean shite... you can out-gain an opponent and still lose the ballgame. its all about field position and ball protection.

if Etling continues to be careful with the foodball (sans a blindside sack and fumble) then we will be okay. if our RBs who are famous for hanging onto the football do just that, we'll be okay.

controlling the ball and clock are key.
