I can think of only two:
1) State in '14 4th qtr comeback.
2) Last possession before the half vs Arky in '15.

Others?

Some have noted he had a hernia for some games last year but unless this is still bothering him I don't think that was a big factor in his QB play.

This isn't a knock on Brandon. Our O doesn't revolve around our QB and there's just very little overlap between his skill-set and our O's strategy. So it's going to be very challenging for him to be comfortable and play with confidence at QB.

He looked pretty comfortable in the 2nd half of the bowl game against Texas Tech, although I realize Tech's defense was shitty.

Some that come to mind:

Lee - Auburn '08, UF '10,'11
JJ - bowl game vs GaTech, 2nd half vs Bama in '10
Anthony Jennings - Arky 2013

But your point is well taken. It's been the exception for years.

Elaborate? You've watched him play 2.5 quarters of football?

ETA: his first action in 22 months live against somebody other than purple and gold

But its New Mexico State he doesn't really have to look comfortable to win a cupcake game.

Etling had basically one good quarter against Jacksonville State. He definitely showed much more promise than Harris, but let's see how he does against some actual SEC defenses before proclaiming him the second coming. He still has to overcome them and the infamous Les Miles offense.

If only we could combine the best of the two, we would be set. Harris still has a chance to come around and improve. Etling is probably as good as he will get.
Right now, Etling is probably just OK. Harris is less than OK but has shown flashes of being very good.
