In football: 10 SEC titles: 2 in the 1930s,1958,1961,1970,1986,1988,2001,2003,2007 and 3 national championships (58,03,07)

Also a cool fact is that LSU is the only SEC school with at least 10 SEC championships each in baseball, football, and basketball. I don't think any other school comes close.

What team is recognized as having won the NC in 1908?

1908 teams that have a claim on a National Championship:
Pennsylvania 11-0-1 tied Carlisle
Harvard 9-0-1 tied Navy, beat Carlisle
Carlisle 10-2-1 lost to Harvard and Minnesota, tied Pennsylvania
Chicago 5-0-1 best Minnesota, tied Wisconsin
Harvard is a far better team than Penn., who has got a lot of press for its two fine players (Hollenbeck and Scarlett.)
Penn. is easily out classed by Harvard and Chicago.
Carlisle is another of the small professional Indian teams, with Jim Thorpe in the backfield and making second team All American.

What about if we claim SEC West titles like Ole Piss?

Carlisle cliam is void due to the team members being paid by Pop.
Also because they played Victor King (QB) who the year before lettered at Texas A&M and would have to sit out a year to play in all conferences.
Pot calling kettle black, A&M would play King in 1909 after knowing he was paided at Carlisle and played a number of games for the Indians.
A&M refused to play LSU in 1909 due to Fenton, Seip etc.

I want to keep our dominates of late going in the sec. fans who think our time is over are wrong.

aren't there also arguments for 1935, 36, and 1961? We should have the folks at Alabama help us w/ creative national championship claiming.
