I don't know the guy. I do know:
1. he is a shitty father/husband
2. he is a liar
3. he is an ego-maniac
4. he has zero personality
5. he Left LSU for the NFL and then went to our rival

All of these are completely irrelevant to the main reason why I don't like him - He coaches the only program that has been unequivocally superior to LSU's in the last 5-6 years. And this program is in the same conference and division as us. The other stuff makes him a shitty person, but the last part is what makes him truly relevant to us.

"Hate" is not real in Satan Saban's case! Don't "hate" him; just envious of his success. Having said that, I hope this year's Tigers kick his arse in Tuscaloser ... They're capable, but have the "want" ...

I don't hate him. I just don't want him to win another game while he is coaching Alabama.

No, but I was in high school when Saban was in BR and knew his kids. He was/is a shitty father, there's really no getting around that.

Also, it's quite well documented that he is both an ego-maniac and a control freak, along with maybe a bit of a liar.

I also don't know Les and won't claim that he is some angel, but the evidence is way stronger in his favor, wouldn't you say?

True...but do you really consider Nick Saban to be comparable to your wife?

I hate Alabama...so by association, maybe I hate him. I mostly think he is a terrible person who treats people like crap and will do anything to win...but it works for him.

I reserve hate for a select few, and a football coach aint one of them.

However, I strongly dislike the man because his success comes at the expense of my favorite team.

It's silly to hate Saban. He didn't leave us for another college, he went to the NFL. Spurrier did it too. That's not a knock on us, he just wanted to try the pro game.

When that failed (as with Spurrier), he went back to college, and the best job available at that time was Alabama. Spurrier did the same thing by going to South Carolina.

I have a lot of UF buddies and NONE OF THEM hate Spurrier. They love the guy. And I love Saban for what he did for LSU (and I'd take him back in a heartbeat).

This. How can you hate someone who brought us a national title and turned our program what it is today. Yall are some ungrateful dumb-dumbs.

When he was here, I'd always get a kick out of him berating local media. Like, at his pressers, they'd ask him something and he'd just look at them and respond like such a shithead. It was funny to me at the time. Not at the REALLY dumb questions, but logical, good questions - he'd just flip out on someone. Looking back at that, it revealed his true character. He was at his very core, a total and complete a-hole.

When he went to the Dolphins, it was a logical move. I didn't look down at him at all. It was the literal next step, and a chance to really conquer the legendary realm of football, the NFL. He wanted a chance to prove he was better than Belichick. I gave him a standing O when he came back with the Dolphins and played the Saints in Tiger Stadium after Katrina. He even got the win (which wasn't hard that season) and I stood up and applauded him. WHO COULD GET A STANDING OVATION IN AN OPPOSING STADIUM? Even after he beat you? He did. And he probably would have eventually gotten there with the Fins. He'd have built a team and probably eventually played for a title. He was on his way. But that's when it all changed. He took the money. After saying he wouldn't do it, he did it. He screwed the Dolphins after they gave him EVERYTHING (total GM powers, power over drafts and trades, like totally everything...). He's just as bad as what Petrino was to the Falcons. A backstabber. And now he is actively working daily to tear down what he built here at LSU. It's not just going to another college. It's in the same division of the same conference. frick him for that.

The fact that he had no idea why LSU fans would LOATHE him reveals even more about him to me. I cannot fricking stand him. I hate him and I hate that Alabama-redneck-delusional-fatass-Updike-doublewide-shitbag fanbase. I hope they lose every game they ever play.

ANY Tiger fan who doesn't feel the utmost and total hatred for that motherfricker isn't a real Tiger fan. I can't even contemplate how someone could have an ounce of respect for that dude. Seriously. frick him. Forever.

It's not that he didn't have an idea, it's that he didn't care.

I think he has gotten better as a Coach. I do not think he was the same Coach at Michigan State as he was at LSU and I think going to the Dolphins and now Alabama he has developed into a good coach. I think he should get recognition for that and I think everywhere he has been he has learned and progressed.
This sums it up. I don't hate Nick Saban, I admire his coaching. I do dislike his return to the NCAA, and in particular his insensitivity at choosing Alabama as the venue. I also suspect for whatever reason he wanted out at LSU and may have seen the Dolphins gig as a roll of the dice until something better came up - do wonder if he was privvy to the future Alabama opening even then? I don't know.

But now that he's there, his Tiger pedigree is forever tarnished and irreparably damaged. No hall of fame, no statue for him, no special honors at Tiger Stadium are deserved. Ever. He is and will always from now on be TIGER BAIT!

I say when saban was our coach no one cared about him being a father or how much of an a-hole he was. He was hired to be the head coach. Look at what he built at LSU. Not only did he build a powerhouse he left a legacy. The academic center for athletes is a huge tool for recruiting. CLM and future coaches are the benefactors of what Saban built.

I wouldn't know...I have never met the man. I think his son was kicked out of CHS.

This is what pisses me off the most. Well also 1/9/12 and voting Ok St like #4 or #5 on his ballot to help out himself.
