How many years are you going to keep saying it before you consider that you might just be wrong? I know it's popular to believe Saban is some kind of money grubbing mercenary, but when has he ever made a lateral move in his career progression? Which specific job did he take that warrants that reputation, considering he took a pay cut to leave Miami?

Hold tightly to this thought GUMP....I don't care if he ever leaves Bama....but don't think for a second that Texas couldn't come up with a package that might at least tempt ol nicky into leaving T-Town.

Saban pressured LSU to take those actions.
I really love how saban gets all the credit for where the program is today, even after all these years. He has been gone for a longer period of time than he actually coached at LSU. Further more, he only had ONE season where he lost 3 games or less. ONE season. ONE. JUST ONE. Yet he was the Messiah that raised LSU from the dead.

I'm not fond of liars and Nicky is a liar.
I would have been alright with any other team
In college football but the one he is at. That
I do hate and always have and will.
If wanted to prove his greatness as a coach
He should have turned a notorious mediocre
Program into a contender, not a program
That has a history of success.
I despise the fact that he left Lsu.

So what kind of number you think Texas could reasonably throw at Saban that Alabama would refuse to match? Also, your entire premise is based on the assumption that Saban is motivated only by money which has no basis in fact. He took a paycut to leave Miami, remember?

Leaving on Christmas was a real classy act..

Truthfully I do not hate him. He is a great coach. I do not respect he uses his clout to get the schedule business set for him every year. You are the best team - yet get easiest schedule. That is crap and I know he has alot to do with it.

I don't hate Nick Saban the same way I don't love Les Miles. I DON'T KNOW THESE PEOPLE.

And never managed back to back ten win seasons, left LSU barely ranked in the top 20, and forth in the SEC overall.
I'm don't where this legend of his at LSU comes from, it's funny as shite.

I do not hate Saban; I do not like many Alabama fans.

I don't hate Saban, but I will always pull for anyone who plays against him even if he ends up at Texas. As a LSU fan, I think of Saban as your wife who leaves you for a wealthy man. It hurts, but you understand that she's improving her lifestyle. But then that relationship does not work out so she moves back to your home town and marries your brother and you have to see her every year at the family picnic. At least, if he/she leaves your home town after separating from your brother, you won't have to see her once a year with another man

To be fair. This is spot on. Miles could NOT have done at LSU from where it was when Saban got here ,what Saban did. He {Miles} has just kept it going.

That's the whole problem with this mindset. "Just kept it going?" If he kept up Saban's performance level, that would be impressive enough. He's done better than Saban did here.
Just keeping it going is damn hard, and hardly ever happens when you review the history of college football. Myopic LSU fans think this is the norm or is otherwise not really that big of a feat.

You missed my point. Miles could not have done what Saban did in 2000. The BUILDING project Saban and Emmerett was. Does Miles have a better record than Saban at LSU sure. He has been here longer and IS a very good Coach.
