I remember the incredible defenses of the late 60's and early 70's....George Bevan an incredibly undersized LB whose motor was always running.

Lived in Hatcher Hall in 1960, worked in Bakers Restaurant (where Chimes is now) for meals, tips and a little pay. Didn’t get home to N O often but when I did, I met my ride back to LSU at the brand new Lakeside Shopping Center. Besides my 4 kids, 3 grandkids graduated and 3 are there now. I’m 76 and plan on living forever, so far so good.

I remember! Hardly any TV back then. Huddled around the radio with family listening to John Ferguson & Walter Hill. Amazing times.

58 y.o. LSU alum (in my heart, still feel like 20-something)
Been going to games since I was 2 y.o. My Dad was an LSU graduate student when I was born and had season tickets for over 30 years, long after I graduated from LSU.
I had huge crushes on Bert Jones and Tommy Casanova! Saw Pistol Pete play.
Lived in Highland Dorm in the horseshoe freshman year. No air-conditioning - brutal in August / September heat! Got into lots of mischief with my suite-mates! Glorious memories!
Also, loved Charlie Mac!
Geaux Tigahs!

Beat you there by 1 year. The fall of my first semester at LSU was in 1957. I was fortunate to see from the student section Jimmy Taylor play his senior season for LSU. His forte was running with the football and seeking out defenders to run over. The most vivid moment that is burned in my memory from watching him that season occurred during the home game with Georgia Tech. Taylor had broken clear on the left side and was heading toward the North end zone. I was in the lower student section near the sideline where he was running. A GT linebacker or safety attempted to make the open field tackle by hitting Taylor thigh high.
The end result was the defender being knocked unconscious and Jimmy continuing on his way.
The core for the 1958 NC team were sophomores that year. Cannon, Robinson, Fugler, Rabb, etc., and their talent was very evident, but Jimmy Taylor was THE MAN. That season ended with the uneventful record of 5-5-0. One amazing thing about the ’57 team is that two of its players later became enshrined into the NFL Hall of Fame (Jimmy Taylor and Johnny Robinson). From my time starting in 1957 until the present, many great players have contributed to the tradition of LSU football. Too many to mention. Today we are witnessing a QB who is putting up unbelievable numbers, leading the Tigers by showing intelligence and toughness on the playing field and running an offense that could only be imagined in our minds before this season. Hopefully the Tigers can continue on to reach their ultimate goal.
Would be a great present for my 80th birthday which comes early next month.
Geaux Tigers.

Hooked on the Tigers since listening to Billy Ezell rally the Tigers for TD and 2 point conversion to beat OM in 1964.

I'm a 68-year old geezer on the outside, but a 17-year old freshman at Tiger Stadium for the first time on the inside.

I'm 77, lived in the North Stadium and remember such greats as Stovall, Winston, Miller and Gaubatz. I took a life saving course at the old H.Long Fieldhouse pool. It was am 8 AM class, spring semester class.

I am 63 next month- My first game in Tiger Stadium was 1966, I was 9 years old. As of the 1967 season, I never missed a game either in attendance, tv or on the radio. As a kid, names like Mike Hillman, Sammy Grezaffi, Art Cantrelle, George Beven, Mike Anderson, etc. were part of great memories in the late 60's! By the early 70's, I remember where I was (on a date, driving down West Esplanade in Metairie) when Bert Jones made the throw to beat Ole Miss! All great times, but that 1969 team was the best- just one lousy loss to Archie & Ole Miss stopped undefeated season!

There are quite a bit. Those are the ones that were always taking up for Ensminger last year when his offense was struggling. They also like to use the losing seasons of the 90s to try and get folks here to count their blessings. They were content with 9 & 3 seasons. Yep, they're very easy to sniff out.

I am 68. Went to LSU in '69 graduated in '74. First game was Oct 31 '59. Last game I was at Tiger Stadium was Sept '88. Next game I will be at Tiger Stadium Nov 30, 2019...I am a little excited. Use to play full contact tackle football after it rained on the South side of Tiger Stadium. One time Tommy Casanova was playing on the other team. I tried to tackle him....Big mistake.
