How many baseball recruits will we likely lose to the draft?

And how many may end up getting drafted? Looks to me like we're getting killed by the MLB baseball draft.
Btw, You never hear anyone applaud Manieri for his recruiting on this site....

This very topic has been covered ad nauseum all day. In several threads. There is no reason for another thread.

All of them. Begin to panic

Wow! It's scary to think of how dangerous we could be without losing them every year.
And Sorry I work during the day I don't have time to post or read. Some people have jobs.
Have a great night. And do something with your life....lol
Thanks to those who just answer and aren't smart asses

They don't know the answer. Our commit taken in Rd 1 is very likely gone. None of the others have SV's above 1m so it depends on their price and that team's situation with their other picks. The bottom line is that most kids will want more than SV and that simply can't happen.

The best answer I can give you is the four kids who went in the first five rounds, that being Nate Pearson, Blayne Enlow, Jacob Pearson and Andrew Bechtold, are all assuredly gone - in fact, I think the only one of the bunch who hasn't announced he'd signed was Bechtold and it's entirely possible he's done it and I just haven't seen it yet.
But none of the other 15 signees look likely to sign.
Daniel Cabrera was ranked as high as the No. 35 pick in the draft. When 10 rounds go by and he's not even selected, it's a very good indication he's taken calls asking what he'd sign for and his answer was far higher than they were willing to pay. That puts him highly unlikely to be anywhere but LSU. Ditto for Nick Storz, who was rated around No. 200 in the latest draft boards.
Cabrera and Storz were not considered very likely to make it to LSU. Getting them is a monster win, particularly given that they could be your right fielder and first baseman, respectively, and hit in the middle of the order while ALSO bolstering your bullpen.
It's also really good news that neither Hunter Feduccia or Mason Doolittle, the two catchers LSU recruited, have been drafted. They went out and added Braden Doughty to the recruiting class out of concern they might lose one or both of those two players but neither went in the first 10 rounds and it's very unlikely we'd lose them now.
And a pair of pitchers with moderate draft risks to them, Steven Keller and Trent Vietmeier, haven't gone. That's also great news. Both are big, stout guys with plus fastballs who could develop into weekend starters in time.
We've got a very, very good recruiting class that has held up really well to the draft so far. The damage the draft has done isn't completely minimal but it's very manageable. We could probably stand to find another infielder over the summer, but otherwise we're good to go for next year with a very, very talented roster.

So are you saying he's a poor recruiter? If thats the case, and he sucks at recruiting, then doesn't that make him the best baseball coach in all of college baseball by a landslide, given all he's accomplished with shitty recruits??
We lose people to the draft every year. Its nothing new.
