Really? Would he schedule Western Illinois the Division II scool again, like in 2003?

We know he can't beat powerhouses like UAB & UL(M)

Jesus, what an idiot.

If you think Miles is a better coach just say so. You might also learn this thing called context.

Since when do coaches make the schedules? Miles has played 3 1-AA teams at LSU.

Saban = 2 national championships with 2 teams pulled from the dumpster

Les = 1 (2 loss season-lucky to be in the championship game)

Les sucks. He is a bimbo if a coach. Only thing good about him is that the players like him. Players feared Saban. Thats why you saw better discipline under Saban.

Les Miles had more ten win seasons than Paul Dietzel and Cholly Mac as well.

If you don't understand what I'm saying, let me put it simply: it's a useless stat for comparing the success of coaches.

at LSU? He's got 1 shared MNC with USC in 2003.

How does a 6'5" 300 lbs Senior fear the Keebler Elf?

If Les "sucks" why is he the winningest Coach you've ever had in Football?

Please let these kind of threads get anchored. My God some people are still obsessed with Saban, and it's primarily those self proclaimed "positigers."

Not disagreeing that I could live with only hearing his name one week out of the year, but I don't get this.

Seems to me like those obsessed with the man are those that are looking for greener pastures outside of the current program.

Most of these "Saban" threads are started for literally no reason by those who claim fanhood superiority.

The man hasn't been coach here since '04.

Lets stop talking about Saban and Les. The argument is very boring. one has 2 rings the other has 1. LSU should be talking coaching prospects.

Wow Rog... "Damn those real LSU fans for wanting LSU to win! "

As for Saban, you can take the trash out. Saban's limp wristed coaching style seems to fit well with the 8-9 win a season, "negatigers".

That would go to McClendon.

At 7.6 wins a season, won 69% of his games? No.

Here 18 years & beat Bama 2 times? Yes.

Bama was coached by Bear Bryant in that era, and as far as his 7.6 wins per season, Mac mostly coached when they only played 10 games a season.

ETA: Did no one else notice the spelling error in the subject line?

1965: 8-3 1967: 7-3-1, 1968: 8-3, 1970: 9-3 1975: 5-5-1 1975: 5-6 & so on...

Does'nt change winning percentage.

sABAN (check the little s)is a little bitty guy with a BIG ego who looks like he needs a laxative but would rather hit second string quarterbacks on the arse

Without the aid of a Bowl Game in 2001, looks like he had 1.

Miles has 4 without counting Bowls..3 in 5 seasons...interesting.

Dude...why invite this "conversation". The fact is that despite the overwhelming statistics in Miles' favor, there will always be a portion of the LSU fan base that irrationally hates on Miles, no matter what he does. They will hate on him if he produces ten consecutive perfect seasons with BCS trophies. It is what it is. Some of our fans are just embarrassing.

Has Miles ever matched Saban's 1-loss season? Are you related to Les Miles? Give it a rest.
