So if LSU wins out, bama wins out, and the other guys drop some games, we could make it to the playoffs.

LSU vs Bama the rematch... Too soon?

Except it isn't a mulligan at all. We lost 1 regular season game. We are at #9 with every team still having 3-4 more games.

I will withhold any forecasts until LSU rebounds in strong fashion. A limp performance this week will be very disappointing......they must show strong

How about worrying about this team first. If last year is not a lesson learned, never take any team for granted.

We not only need to win out but need to kick arse in almost every game.

Dude, skip all the pointless logic. Bama has to lose and we have to win out (including the SEC championship game)... That's all. There's no other way we're getting in. They're not going to put two teams from the SEC in the CFP.

If they truly go by what they are saying, how can you leave out LSU whoes only loss is to the #2 team? Everyone else will have 1 or more losses. LSU will have the best loss. If a 2 loss Stanford or Michigan get in over 1 loss LSU, it would be a travesty.

We don't play dude, get out with all your negative bullshite. LSU was already sitting on 3 losses last season.

Now if LSU loses again, then we can talk about something else.

That's BS.

Yes, our loss was to a highly ranked team, but that doesn't necessarily qualify it as a "good loss."

In reality, it was a terrible loss. We got dominated in every phase of the game. And the committee saw that.

But anyway, we're not making the playoff if we don't win the SEC so we need to run the table, hope for a Bama loss, and then beat Florida again in Atlanta.

it will all be forgotten if LSU wins out

people are already talking about Oklahoma being in the playoffs if they win out and their loss to fricking Texas was 100x worse than LSUs loss

Okies would have wins over three top 20 teams, two of them presently in the top 12.
LSU would have wins over Miss State and Ole Miss. We are rooting for Miss State to beat Alabama and lay loss #2 on them. If Bama loses that game, LSU gets a rematch with Florida and a shot at #4 position in the playoffs, vs Clem.

still that Texas loss was...rough

that was the point, people forgot bad losses as long as you keep winning afterwards

In my opinion, if we win the SEC, we're in the playoff. Of course, that requires that we run the table and Bama loses. But the committee isn't going to ignore a 1-loss SEC champ.

Maybe they ignore Florida is they lose to FSU (second loss) but win the SECCG, but we (or Bama) is in the playoff if we win the conference with 1-loss.

None of this matters if LSU can't win out, which is something that I think is unlikely.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not bashing our team or our coaches... I just don't think we come out of November better than 2-2. I really hope I'm wrong, but I have my doubts.

After being embarrassed last week, I really look for our O-line to step up and provide Fournette some running lanes so he gets back on top of those Heisman standings; however, I think the key to winning out is great play by Harris.

My analysis of our remaining games:

Arkansas - they always play us tough no matter what the records are, and with last years' domination of us, I think they come in confident and give us fits. They're pretty good against the run, but not as good against the pass. I really hope Fournette runs wild, but I think Harris will have to be spot-on for us to be successful. I think we win, but our secondary has to really step up for us to do so.

Ole Miss - Say what you want about Kelly, but he's still one of the best quarterbacks we'll see this year and he leads the best offense we'll face. That being said, our entire defense, but especially our secondary will have to really step it up big time for us to win this game. Defensively, they're respectable against the run, but weak against the pass. For us to keep up with their offense, Harris has to play well. Of the 3 remaining games, this one worries me most. We dashed their dreams last year and I look for them to come in sky-high will all intentions of returning the favor for us.

Texas A&M - Offensively, the most balanced team left on the schedule and in my opinion the one we match up best with. It sucks that we have to play on Thanksgiving, but that's the deal. That's probably the only advantage I'd give them other than this game being played in College Station. I look for Harris to have a big game. As long as we play mistake free football, I think we come home with a comfortable victory.

this gameis the most tricky. The Chavis factor and playing on Thanksgiving in what might be like the weather was like in Arkansas last year. If LSU wins the next two,A & M would like nothing better than to ruin any hope the Tigers have of a playoff berth.......

Honestly, we don't need to play them again until next year.
