How long will Chavis put up with his troops dropping from exhaustion?

ACC team physically wore down SEC team.
ATLANTA – LSU fell off the physical cliff over the final 1:39 of its 25-24 upset loss to Clemson Monday night in the Chick-fil-A Bowl.
Clemson completion, LSU player down with cramps … Clemson first down, LSU player down with cramps … Clemson nearing game-winning field goal, LSU player down with cramps … Clemson kicks game-winning field goal as time expires, LSU down and out.
Montgomery was flat on his back when he pulled Boyd down for the 6-yard loss. But Boyd got back up and completed a 26-yard pass to wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins, who again beat cornerback Tharold Simon. Hopkins would catch two more off Simon for 20 yards and was interfered with by free safety Eric Reid for another first down in the drive. Hopkins finished with 13 receptions for 191 yards and two touchdowns.
Montgomery was one of several LSU players who collapsed on that last drive. Reid was another, as was.strong safety Craig Loston.
"When I laid down out there, I was so tired and so hurt," Montgomery said. "It's a hard thing on the defense to play 100 plays."

Well, at least this thread title doesn't have "Miles" in it.

I'd Imagine the frick so.
The question should be "How much longer will Chavis put up with the Offensive exhausting his troops."

They make a stop on 4th and 17 this is a non-issue

Chavis love Les Miles and LSU, he'll be as long as he wants to be

how long will Chavis run blitzes that leave safeties that can't cover man to man in man to man?

The issue remains 3 out of 13 third down conversions. That is the issue. Our offense got stuffed by an ACC defense. That is the issue.

Most of these weren't real "injuries".....js

If not for Chavis, we suck arse the last 5 years.
However, he needs to figure out how to close out halves/games. These late heroics from the opponent are not condusive to achieving victory.

Only if you can't see past your nose.
The best thing that could have happened after the way we played Monday night is a loss.
We were beat in every phase but special teams, and so badly I might add, that we won the TO battle, and still lost.
32-9 FD's. We had as many punts as first downs.
We have an OL built to pound, and we can't gain critical short yardage. Our red zone offense is putrid.
We have a QB with molasses-like mobility, and we have to roll him out with no pass catching TE's or FB's, and no time for anything but slants from the wideouts, if we keep him in the pocket.
Did I mention we don't have big, physical WR's to shield defenders from the slant route? Or a QB that can throw a screen pass with touch, or a deep pass within 5 yards of being catchable?
This team's offense looks like it was assembled by someone who has no idea how, what, or when to coordinate it. A gifted, game manager, student of the game QB with mobility, could arrive to rely on his instincts to help us out, but one thing is for sure.
The present offensive staff is not going to develop shite at the QB position. We have 8 years of proof.

WOW !
Way to throw your teammates and coaches under the bus.
I'm tired of these players and ex-players bashing the program. Whatever happened to good old-fashioned gratitude ?
Well, he's a young man yet, I suppose I can give him a pass for his unfortunate comment.

Sam Montgomery left everything he had on the field.
Miles' offensive philosophy is the problem, not our great defense.
We will stop attracting top flight talent like Montgomery if Miles doesn't make a change.

Do you think chavis tells Stud to man up and do a better job?

If I was the Chavis, I would ask Miles if he was planning to bring in a new O.C.

If he'd change his name from 3rd and Chavis that'd help his guys a lot.

what about "it's hard to play 100 plays" is false.
or even insulting for that matter? the D battled the best they could. and i'm not a miles basher.
the D did give up some late drives this year (too many in fact) but i can't attribute the bowl loss to the D. i think they played a part in it. and i think the D was more responsible for the late bama drive, but in this game, you can only ask for so much.

No, I don't contribute anything to the problem. I am just a guy on a message board, like everyone else here. I love the hell out of LSU football, but 2 minutes after the game was over, I went back to living my life.
