Exactly. If we had just a slightly better record out of conference, we are likely dancing. BAD LOSSES HURT!
Specifically the first 2 losses to Nichols and Dayton!

why are you comparing them to LSU?
LSU is not a tournament team.

Better OOC wins in Washington St and Northwestern is keeping them afloat, also a win over Tennessee. They're also top 40 in KenPom which is factored into NET while we're in the 90s

We were 9-9 in the SEC and were a 6 seed wade’s last year.

Whether you liked Wade, or not, you have to agree that the man was a master at scheduling for a really nice NET ranking.

I really liked the him. He seemed to have a very deliberate and intelligent approach to some of details of the program.

I remember being shocked we got a 6 seed. I was expecting 8 or 9.

Conversely, now I'm remembering we were 13-3 in the SEC and won the conference in 09 in Trent's first year and they gave us an 8 seed and fricking put us in UNC's bracket. We gave UNC their toughest game of the whole tourney but that team deserved more than a near automatic 2nd round exit like the committee sentenced us to. That was bullshite.

I was just making a statement that conference record doesn’t really equate to NCAA tournament berths.
