He is usually sick in the passing game. He runs well

His instincts are to hold it until he sees a WR open. Against Zone, that's harder. He regressed this week.

This. Barry Odom is one of the best in the biz and he had a perfect gameplan. He took what UT did and just called and executed it a lot better than they could.

Daniels has been doing fine against man lately, but he still isn’t confident enough to identify the soft spots in a zone and throw guys into them. Add the constant pressure and the fact that they kept the defense compressed and you also have more people facing the ball every snap, meaning there were more defenders ready to react whenever Daniels tried to run.

What we needed to do was hit them deep, or at least try, to back them off. I’m pretty sure that’s why we were trying to do early in the game. If you can back the safeties off, it opens a lot of extra space in each zone. Unfortunately, the constant pressure and sacks in the first half put an end to that.

34 degrees some of our guys have never played a game that cold. WRs did want to catch or get hit.

Also Arkansas did what Georgia is going to do. Blitzed/stunted twisted every play.

How many screens, throws to RB did you see yesterday?

You don’t throw many screens vs zone teams.

He can't hit a screen pass he over throws them.

That's not an answer

And he can & has done it

I remember a receiver wide open on a come back route 8 to 10 yards deep and Daniels didn't throw it. He tried to run right and got sacked

He does this alot

I think that first pick he threw really affected his confidence. They should have dialed up more easy throws for him to get back in rhythm, IMO; however, maybe the Les Miles approach was part of their game plan for this particular match up.

We didn't handle the blitz well at all. He had someone in his face on every drop back it seems.

This. Too many rushers coming free. And we did nothing to help him, such as running screens, swing passes or quick wheel routes. When the line is having a hard time with protection, you have to help them out. The OC did not do that.

Most QBs don't get sacked 7 times in a game. Our blocking/blitz pickup was awful.

Sacks and pressure nearly every play. How people overlook that is beyond comprehension. But on top of that he did look off. All that together equals glad to just get the W.

You guys still haven't learned your lesson yet? You don't know more than the coaches. You think BK is an idiot and doesn't know this? Ask yourself why these are not being called. If you watch LSU this year you should know the answer by now. JD can't throw these routes for shite. He lacks touch on his passes. He gets RBs/WRs killed on simple screens and his accuracy is too inconsistent. He has played overall great this year but he still has many areas he needs to improve on. This is one of them. He also holds the ball too long as it's not always the WRs/OL fault. I can tell you yesterday though, the WRs were not getting great separation overall on a good portion of the plays. Not all but a good bit. Defense also dictates what you will be calling on offense. Their play calls were fine they just were not executing.

Playing like shite spread to every unit on offense like cancer.

So do most QBs
BS. I don't know how many times Bo Nix was sacked yesterday, but going into that game vs Washington, he had only been sacked 3 times all year. They have a top 5 offense in the country and he is top 3 in total TDs (might be #1) Makes it pretty freaking easy to run an offense when you aren't smothered as soon as you drop back.

They were in his face all game. Reminded me of the FSU game when we couldn't block a soul.

Go watch the last 3 games with protection, and then this game without protection. There were also some coverage sacks in there with the WRs getting locked up.

Wrong. JD5 did what it took to win and he won. Every horrible game from Jefferson and Jennings was a big fat L.

y good passer, he never throws a receiver open or hit them in stride. They usually have to slow down to catch the ball thrown behind them.
