So what happens in the case of his classes? Does he get medical excuses for not taking tests and things like that?

Exceptions to academic deadlines can be made for medical hardship.

I agree, I wish they would have taken him off the field and out of the cameras, nothing was to gained by showing a 20 year old dazed and confused like that.

No, of course not, but I think he should have been taken to the locker room and checked thoroughly rather than lingering dazed and confused on the sidelines.

I had two (maybe three) my senior year of high school. After the first one, the ones after that are much easier to get (ie it doesn't take as hard of a hit).

I saw the camera on him and he dropped to the ground while walking off. But they did not show it again.
Was that intentional? It was disconcerting, to be sure. Did anyone else see that?

The coaches were telling him to go down for his own sake and so the medical team could come out and look at him. They likely wouldn't have been allowed onto the field to check him if he didn't go down.

True he didn't look bad leaving the stadium, but after the hit coming off of the field he looked like he'd just been ko'd in the 12th, he couldnt even handle his mouthpiece
