Recruiting base is more important...you need a good AD and President to have the vision to go and sell the school, the recruiting base to the potential coach.

If you think Ed O’s butt is puckering under the pressure now, imagine if his idiot AD is fired.

Several good posts here. It is beyond my comprehension that La politicians cannot fathom the importance of the LSU football program to the state. You would think the program was robbing the state to exist instead of donating to the academic coffers. Oil, sugar etc are not what people want to talk about when you travel the country and mention that you grew up in Louisiana.. Louisiana is known for its tourism, corrupt politics and LSU football. Love us or hate us, LSU football is invariably the major topic of discussion. That , my friends, is great for recruiting, whether it is for athletic players or soliciting major Companies to relocate.

It is no wonder Lane Kiffin is referred to on this board so often considering his found wisdom and long tenure of excellence as a head coach. His statements and actions reflect the truest of realities, that premium coaches prefer to flee from high paying blue blood programs to the real pinnacle of american football, the FAU Head coaching position.

You should care. When our BOS has Tulane alums on it, it makes you think.
Alums do matter.......to a point.

This board falls for his drivel yet again.

Dietzel came in and hired Rein and Stovall. He was replaced by Brodhead who hired Arnsparger and Archer. Then I think Joe Dean came in for Hallman and Dinardo and he was actually here for Saban but did not make the hire. I guess he was here for Miles and then Alleva for O. There is no right AD and they all make crappie hires. If you think you going to hire some people and its going to get better if may get worse. There are Hallman's, people get killed, coaches go to other schools or the NFL. I have been a fan since the 50's and I do not worry about any of that crap!!

Did they not teach the possessive case in school back then?
As long as we gain more yards in our spring game than anyone else, we’re all on the O train!

It’s ok, we all understand you’re very old and not of sound mind.
