sighs No. David Weeks was very good. He was a super recruit back before the days of the online services. He blocked for players like Terrell Davis and Hines Ward. He was a 3 year starter and a captain.

I remember when Lionel Turner blew the TD play that lost the Florida game in our natty year. Folks asked if Saban’s defense was too complicated, and Saban said, “I’ll let you decide. On that play Lionel was supposed to cover the TE if he runs a route and rush the passer if he stays in to block. The TE ran a route and Lionel rushed the passer. Now, do YOU think that’s too complicated?”
