I'm kind of thinking Hester was more likely to put his head down, punish a tackler, and pick up a couple of yards. Scott has 'lateral speed' i.e. when faced with a tackler he takes 1 to 2 steps to the side then turns upfield for what nets out to be a larger gain.

"couple of yards" being 1

he just couldn't make guys miss, so he'd lower the shoulder and lean forward

scott can make guys miss AND lower the shoulder

I asked for a passion meter at Home Depot, but there was no one around to help me.

Auburn defense tends to agree with this statement.

the problem is it's double-dipping

i mean you can't run with "deceptive passion" while still having a "motor that doesn't quit"

@ SFP

Did Hester nail your girlfriend or something?

I don't think I have ever seen you give the guy any love at all.

Good way of putting it. I just wonder how good he would be if he was a solid 4.5 at 232. He is an outstanding football player regardless.

Hester and Scott hit the hole just as fast, but Scott has cuting ability Hester can only dream about.

Hester is better at reading the hole and downfield blocking.

Thinking that KW or CS is/was a better runner than Hester is not bashing Hester.

The following quote is complete BS, is disproven by any number of video clips widely available on on the internet and IS bashing Hester:

""couple of yards" being 1."
