wasn’t and am not a fan of the Coach O hire, but I want him to do well because that means LSU will be doing well. Those on here wishing him to fail are wishing for LSU to fail also. That is something that I will never understand or support.

ive yet to come in contact with this mythical," wanting O to fail" character. can anyone link me to a single post that proves this? it shouldnt be hard since its such a widespread epidemic

i think we surprise some people. We are still one of the 2-3 most talented rosters in the sec. If we stay healthy i think a 10 win season is attainable.
outside of 2016 bama game and in the redzone Vs Florida 2016 i liked the playcalling from Ensminger. i hope we start attacking the middle of the field with the passing game and start using the TE

Agree and that was with the old offense already in place. I think Ensminger adding what he thinks we do best will help as well. I do like his playcalling. Also I think our backs will have a better chance of breaking long runs unlike last year.

agreed. im sure not running behind a fb after running behind a fb your entire collegiate career has an effect. when you're running behind a fb there's less thinking into which hole youre running and it takes away the decision of reading your blocks from inside out or outside in.
i also think our growing pains on the oline in 2017 will start to pay off this year. if we stay healthy at the cb spot and this defense will keep us in every game.

you seriously under estimate the importance of a good FG kicker.

How many NC's has Bama won with poor to barely average FG kickers? Let's just say 'a few'.

I'd say a 2 right now.

We simply don't have the team to win the West and thus the SEC. It'll be the same story. Hope, frustration, hope, frustration, reality. With that said, what's to be excited about?

LSU football has slipped into mediocrity. Hate to admit it, but that's simply what LSU sports are now. I think Wade will change that for basketball. Not sure O is the guy to do it for LSU football, especially with Saban still haunting the SEC.

As a lifelong SSP'er, this is the lowest bar I've set preseason since the Hallman era. Put me down for an 8-4 type season(+ or - one). My excitement level right now is about a 5.5. None of the stuff we hear between now and the Miami...doesn't mean crap. Check back with me after the Auburn game and we'll see if my excitement level is an 8+ or a 4 or below.

8.5 until the season get closer and then I'll be pegged the frick out, once again. See I'm not a child, that had to temper my expectations, I can take being disappointed in stride and not lose sleep or skip in my step. I'm a real man not some pussified little twerp, that has to have my way or I'll scream at the first sign of a challenge to my thought process. Some of you really are pathetic.

So, you're saying real men bend over and take it up the tailpipe when they don't get their expected return on investment instead of standing up and speaking their minds? Check.

We could lose every damn game and you would be right here pumping up the staff and laying out the excuses. You live in la la land...and it works for you. Good.
