My dad called me after the game and asked me "can you believe that, I can't believe we choked and lost that game." He had turned the TV off immediately following the play. I had to inform him of the penalty and that we had actually won the game, he was still disgusted but happy LSU got the W.

With 20 some seconds left on the clock, my wife said Les would screw it up. I told her to relax expecting the ball to be spiked at any second. Then about 10 seconds later, with the clock still running, I saw kids still running on/off the field. With 5 seconds left, I stopped breathing. Finally when I thought the game was over, the first words out of my mouth were - 'he's gone tomorrow morning'.
The do over we got just felt like a really bad mad for TV movie. Didn't stop me from celebrating the W though.

My entire section was chanting, "Fire Les Miles!."

I saw the ball go through his legs and walked down the ramps...by the time i got to the opened area and everyone was still watching i realized something was up. I was pretty pissed as well.

I was in the stadium with my orange on. When T-Bob put it through JJ's legs, I see bottles, sun glasses, cups, hats and anything else people could throw coming down. Well, I figured since I was wearing a huge target need to get out. So I haul arse to where we are tailgating.
I walk out of the stadium thinking my Vols pulled a big upset, but I don't want to gloat. As I walk in between the stadium and Mike's house, I hear the student section roar and the band crank up.
I have no idea what just happened, so I go ask a sheriff deputy. He said TN had too many men on the field and LSU just scored. FML!!!!

Man that must of been a heart dropping moment when you heard the band start up

I think people overreact to what happened because of that moment when we thought we lost
That's the whole point of the thread. Looking back on all the stories of how you reacted to the "loss".

My friend called and said "So what did you think of how that game ended." My DVD was about a minute or two behind real time so I replied "I can't believe we lost to Tennessee." My wife starts getting real animated out of the corner of my eye when I said that and my friend just said "I'll call you back" and hung up.
Had another friend just turn the TV off and go out and wash his car after the miffed hike. He did not know we had won until later that night.

Second only to the bluegrass miracle in enjoyment, watching the tn people cheer then cry was worth the near nervous breakdown

At first I was like
then I was like
And finally I was like
But in reality I was in the south end zone and was very angry and tennessee fans beside us were being all cheering and shite, so I said a few choice words while watching a young man throw a medium coke from the stands to the 20 yard line then started thinking "damn they should recruit that kid" then I was confused cause there was a penalty, then I was happy and begin to cuss out the tennessee fan yet again, but this time in joy!

It wasn't just "after" for me.
I started screaming NO when I saw three players coming on, three going off....
I started screaming "snap the fu*king ball" around 10 second mark and I swear it felt like my heart was stopping...my mind was saying "I can't believe they are doing this AGAIN"
When the ball went by JJ, I threw the hat off the head and knew that it was the end for Les (posi-tiger here since 08
) and that bothered me. I still watched and laughed and laughed when the game REALLY ended.
I got no problem with the win. If you are a LSU fan and you have a problem with that win something is wrong with you

Me, and the group I was with, were in complete disbelief. Heard a few "I'm done's", a few "Les is done's" ETC.
I was just sitting back in the bleachers of the upperdeck looking up, hoping it was a nightmare and I would wake up and it would be the morning of the Tennessee game all over again.
...Then I heard the PA Microphone noise(when your mouth gets to close). And my heart dropped, jumped up and started going crazy. Somehow I ended up about 10 rows higher than where I was originally, and shite hit the fan when we won. I was hugging some fat old guy that I never saw before and didn't care

I was at the end of my row screaming actual profanities of the pg13 variety.
I was furious.
I was with my nine year old son.
I had previously commented on how glad i was not to be sitting around a bunch of irrational assholes.
I was in every way like a massengale product.
It was not my finest moment.

I was at schlitz and giggles on Perkins. I ran outside to throw up, cry, punch myself in the face etc. etc.
Heard someone say there was a flag. Came back in, watched us win, and hugged a girl I didn't know.. In front of my wife. She was like

I couldn't look a Tenn fan in the eyes on the way out of the stadium b/c I knew that was a complete fluke that we won that game that day.

We were so pissed off because of the last play we started walking out of down the ramp. When we got exactly half way down some kid ran up screaming they have another play. The crowd was torn which direction to run because we were smack dab in the middle. Half went up, half went down. I literally had enough time to jump up and hold myself up on one of the concrete walls at the entrance to a section saw Ridley score and they we ran out and everyone was screaming and completely confused with WTFS....... then proceeded to black out.
