Bunted early when down 1 to 0 and it worked tied 1 to 1 after 3. Then 4 through 9 was all LSU. Cole Henry not so good out it 4 60 pitches.

Played well. Hitters clearly had a totally different approach at the plate. Many balls were hit to the opposite field and hitters battled with two strikes. Two balls were possibly kept in the park because of the wind. Cole Henry didn’t have his best stuff but the relief pitchers threw well. Walker threw strikes and that was nice to see.

I didn’t see an untick anywhere except Doughty hit the ball pretty well. Of course, one was a hit and run where the decision was made for him to swing and he hit an eye-level fastball. Not sure if he gets a ton of credit there.

Pitching, defense and hitting all about the same. That team sucked. Walked the bases loaded multiple times and basically gave the game to us.

Always a breath of fresh air you are B. Are you and Lester motivational speakers in real life?

So you saw no improvement from bianco or gio?

A 4 pitch walk is a hell of a lot different than a 10 pitch walk

Both were much more patient at the plate, 4 walks between the two of them and they were both striking out consistently.

Someone must have given Gio the 'Willy Mayes Hays' speech! He is hitting everything on the ground now and shortened his swing.

Giving the guy what he asked for, an objective observation of how we played in context to the season.

He already knows he’s going to get the “we’re going to Omaha” slant from most of you

Maybe Gio a little bit. But not really

He’s always made some aggressive swings on fastballs early in the count and sometimes he connects against bad pitching.

Bianco is way too pull heavy. Even tries to yank balls on the outer third of the zone. The book is out on him and he simply won’t have success in the sec without a complete change in approach imo. A lot of defensive swings when he inevitably gets down in counts too. He’ll be an easy punch out for a competent pitcher.

Both swing at a ton of bad pitches and miss my a mile too often to feel good about. It only gets harder from here.

Only because for some odd reason you don’t believe walks are as good as a hit

Interesting observation. I’m not sure how objective it is if you saw no differences in that game compared to most of the previous games this season.
