The same posters on this thread using Tyrus Thomas as an example of our great recruiting under Brady would be the same guys that would be villifying any other coach that had just signed a 2 star nobody out of high school.
Brady was villified for signing both Thomas and Temple. Some Brady bashers were questioning the signing of Davis. "Big Baby was too fat to play SEC ball"

tiger authority we will be last in the sec this year.
You are basing this on what? This team is going to win several games come conference time as long as they stay healthy.

normally i go to a few games a year i have followed the basketball team for years losses to witchita state and nichols are not a good sign.
I have not seen them play but these losses dont bode well for the tigers

I like trent Johnson I think he coaches well the problem is recruiting, and we won the sec his first year and made it to the second round. That should have helped him pull in some recruits hes signing miss kids the highest 39 by rivals and 23 by espn we are being out recruited by ga fl ,ken of course, ark and ala . we are beat in his 3rd year by a state school. Do you think the sec wil be weaker then nichols?

I would respond to your post, but you admit you haven't even seen the team play this year, so you are not worthy of a response.

I hate losing especially to shitty teams but I really think by the time SEC rolls around we'll be playing much better.
I'll admit that I'm not a basketball expert, but can y'all tell me why you think we will get better and do well in the SEC? I know the SEC, especially the West, is down, but are ArKansas and Alabama any worse than Nichols or McNeese?
Not calling y'all out or anything, I'm just looking for things to watch as the season goes on to see if we are or aren't getting better.

Alabama lost to St. Peters
Arkansas has started out fairly well, but lost to UAB.
Auburn will be one of the worst SEC basketball teams ever. They have already lost to: Samford, Campbell, Jacksonville, and Presbyterian.

"This team sucks, I haven't seen them play but I did stay at a Holiday Inn express last night"
Why don't you try watching them, then comment.
They lost to Nicholls, so what. Nicholls isn't a bad team.
They lost to WSU, the shockers are far from a bad team.
Is this LSU team great? NO
But, their young and improving. If they keep improving and some of our bigs can start contributing consistently, this could be a pretty decent team.

Because it seems like in every game, we can't get more then one thing working properly.
If the outside shots are falling, then Storm and White are either in foul trouble, or being useless on the offensive end (or both.)
If they're playing well, then the outside guys can't hit the broad side of a barn.
If those things are haphazard, then Bass and Dotson (the slashers/drivers) are penetrating, but the shots aren't falling.
Hell, if Garrett Green hadn't played well above his previous years, we would have lost a couple more games, more than likely. His hustle and enthusiasm and rebounding have really helped this year.
IF (and that's a BIG if), this team can get SOMETHING positive out of Harris, and get the three phases all working in the same game, they can play with any team. The talent is there, and it REALLY shows at times. The youth and inexperience shows at times, too.
If the team gels going forward, .500 or better in the SEC is easily achievable.
That puts us at what, 18-19 wins on the season? I'd consider that progress.
Underperformance from the bigs is slowing this team down right now.
