We all know that both he and alleva should have been gone by now. Who has the power to fire his sorry arse , so we could hire a compentant AD.

You do remember that LSU is an academic institution correct? So your gripes about LSU Athletics should not be directed towards Kind, right?

LSU missed their opportunity to hire Dan Radakovich years ago and now he has Clemson as a top athletic department so he's unattainable. The next phone call needs to be to Scott Woodward @ A&M. He's an LSU guy so that would be a huge checkmark by his name and he's more than capable of running a large program.

You do remember that F. King literally had his thumb on Alleva during the Miles bullshite at the end of 2015 don't you? He's the guy that has to politic the most for LSU INCLUDING it's athletic department.

F. King was foisted on the LSU System by Jindal and the BOS he appointed, despite the objections of many. The Faculty Senate, for example, voted no confidence in the appointment.
The Governor appoints the BOS, but they have staggered terms. I think Jindal appointees still control the BOS.
The best way for new leadership for the entire system is thru Gov. John Bel Edwards. This is not a political or ideological issue. It is a leadership issue.
There are many reasons why F. King should go..

You want to fire the LSU president because he didn't want to fire Les Miles last year even though Les Miles was fired this year?

Still, LSU isn't going to fire the university president over athletics. They'll fire the AD over athletics.

I swear, some of you just can't get this through your heads. F.King is doing a shitty job on his end too, but it's pretty stupid to try and make the case of firing based on his impact of the football program.

If this is true I fear we are doomed.

This gets my vote for the most ill informed post in a LOOONG time.'
There are MANY reasons to fire F. KIng Alexander, most totally unrelated to athletics.
The Miles fiasco last year was merely symptomatic of the problem.

I have a better idea, why don't we replace Alexander with someone who will worry about the Academics and let the AD do his job with the Athletics?

I was painfully obvious that F. King was meddling with the football coach situation when it shouldn't have concerned him. NONE of the coaches salary was coming from the academic budget, but that didn't stop him from interjecting himself into the situation.

That being said, Alleva hires very poorly. He needs to go.

Ive been saying this all along too. No real leadership at LSU anymore. Just guys filling positions, collecting paychecks, and following the path of least resistance.

Yes because his political pandering and indecisiveness is what screwed up the next hire and ruined the 2016 season.

Alexander just recently got a glowing performance review from the Board of Supervisors. Nothing constructive can happen until those corrupt bastards are gone.

It would probably do better than the current Board of Supervisors. What ranters lack in actual knowledge we would make up for in actually giving a shite.

If he's only responsible for the academic mission, then why in the hell did he inject himself into the football coaching fiasco in 2015? If he's going to stick his nose into athletics, then he deserves the blame when he fricks it up.

Sounds about right for Louisiana. Give these people a raise!
