it's just human nature - there WILL be an emotional letdown. It's just natural, no matter how much the coaches try to prevent it. And going on the road doesn't help.

I don't know why you're getting downvoted. Anybody who's paid any attention to college football knows that emotion plays a huge role in a team's performance. A team simply CAN'T play every week at the same max intensity we brought against Bama. It ebbs and flows throughout the year, and we're at an ebb week.

We just have to try to overcome it as best we can.

I’m sorry but I just don’t see it. This team is playing to go to Atl and for a spot in the CFP. With a coaching staff that knows how to keep them focused

Act like you've been there before?

There's virtually no one left in the building that "has been there before" in regards to beating Alabama and managing expectations as a top 10 playoff ranking team. Just because a former group of players wearing the same uniforms did something doesn't translate to the current guys

Kelly's job is to keep them level headed and ready to go. We will find out in 27 hours if that worked this week. But the history of CFB is littered with teams not being able to handle this exact scenario.

Unlike you, this teams goal at the beginning of the year was not simply to beat bama. Job is not done

Good teams win consistently on talent and preparation, not emotion. This game will be a good barometer on how prepared this team is. They have everything to play for.

Because last week’s win is really irrelevant unless with play in this SECCG, which requires that we win over Arky and/or 4&8. We now have a HC that coaches his team up, and I doubt LSU will play down to Arky and/or 4&8.

You finished an amazing task now don't screw up what you did last week because you couldn't move on to your present task?

it took me two days to quit watching replays and fan videos from the Bama win. I was completely exhausted, both mentally and physically, from the game on Saturday night

if we already had 4-5 losses and nothing to play for, yeah i’d expect a hangover game. but this team is, as Josh Pate likes to say, in ascension mode. they seem to get more focused every week and understand that each game still means something. also, is it really a trap game if every single person in the country is telling them that it’s a trap game?
