1. The loss of Kragthorpe as playcalling OC
2. The loss of starting QB
3. The loss of most experienced OL
4. The loss of #2 WR

Answer: They can't. Oregon gets the best of them, but LSU fans ought to give them a pass. That's too much to overcome against a top 5 team.

Or maybe LSU will prove to the nation, even with all its distractions, that Oregon, much like the Pac-whatever, is OVERRATED.

Wow...thanks for ruining the answer. I guess I'll be watching the Boise game instead now.

No, I'd say LSU is #1 with a bullet and Les Miles frontrunner for coach of the year.

I think the biggest loss is Kragthorpe. How many touchdown passes at one point did JJ throw in a 9 game stretch? I know it was something like 2-4. I can't remember the exact number. The point is we won last year despite JJ's play. The biggest problem is the distraction JJ has created to the team. Josh D is not exactly a stud lineman. He is OK but not irreplaceable. It won't take Lael Collins to pass him up as a player. Who knows Collins might be better than Josh before the season is done.

I doubt that these players and coach will make or break the team. Depth is what makes this team so great.
