Fully healed and played and practiced fully in the pre-season the thought being it would get him off to a better start - it did not -
He was not good but anyone coming back from an injury usually doesn't perform well their first game back. Not an excuse its just true. But yes, he was not good and a reason they had a loss in game 1.

The reasons as you say are many and varied, but we - as is absolutely expected as this is an LSU site, are going to try to distance our boys from as much of the responsibility as possible, but honestly they are part of it.
Joe is part of it and I actually see the complete opposite on a National media coverage he has been blasted since week 1 and people are saying he wasn't good last year when he was actually very good after the first four games. Now, having been a Bengals fan I have to tell you they have always been a very difficult team to enjoy and root for because of their front office. So that is where I place majority of the blame I could get into contracts and letting people walk and being cheap but I'll just leave it at the front office/organization is majority to blame for the 0-3 record.

The same way last years team was bad with Jaden, BTJ and Malik, their defense sucks.

Makes total sense. Football is a team sport. Not a 2 man sport.
Think about Barry Sanders. Probably the greatest RB to ever play the game and he never won squat because his surrounding cast was always pure arse most of his career
