Uh, every school does. Unless a player is allowed by the school or NCAA to be unconditionally released, they have the right to refuse where a player transfers to.

You think LSU would’ve allowed Savion to transfer straight to bama, had he not gone juco?

When? Will you send me a link confirming that freshmen and sophomores are allowed to transfer anywhere without having to sit out a year?

Those classes still have to sit out a year, but they can go to any school of their choosing

They said on nafoom Bjork just reversed his stance on transfers and said we're granting release to anybody that wants to transfer to where ever they want

Right. The release allows them to transfer but they cannot be released from the requirement to sit out a season. They are only being released from their commitment.

Suppose that is your way of saying there is no such link. Couldn't anyone on here google anything that is asked? I have googled it numerous times, and talked to a lot of OM boosters. Nobody has ever confirmed that the Freshmen and sophomores will not have to sit out one year. Nor have you, I suppose. Thanks for your (non) efforts.

Understand that no school can prohibit any player from transferring to any school they want at any time. whether that player has to sit out a year depends on several different things.

Does this include any SEC school? I thought that was still a restriction.

Not to change the subject, but why did Savion leave LSU? Was he just chasing a title?

Got suspended with Fulton and couldn't handle it so he left. Also was upset about not getting enough PT.

The transfer release and sitting out a year are two separate issues. The SEC has a rule that member schools do not accept transfers from other SEC schools without the original school granting a release. That was done by OM. Unconditional releases for everyone.

Sitting out for a year has nothing to do with OM. It is an NCAA rule. Absent the NCAA granting a universal waiver for all OM players (which they have not done) each player will have to appeal to the NCAA for the rule to be waived for them, allowing them to be immediately eligible. The exception is current juniors, as the NCAA is allowing them to transfer and play next year. This was based on the fact that they will not be eligible for post season play during he remainder of their college eligibility.
