How big will the lawsuits be?

The SEC will obviously have to pay Wright and Harris. They blatantly defied the court order and used threats to prevent them from playing. I have to believe that the SEC accepted this and chose to pay the players instead of allowing them to play for LSU.
My question is, how much will they have to pay? Will it be what their NIL value was? What LSU agreed to give them? Or will they get more due to the SEC damaging their image, emotional distress, etc??

There won’t be any lawsuits…not any that are successful, anyway.

More a lot more. The SEC has received terrible legal
Advice. Tony Clayton will give them a number that is millions of dollars for each player. Don’t pay it and he will do discovery. He will subpoena every text, email etc. and depose everybody which will obviously show multiple instances of collusion. Other suits would follow. The SEC would be done. Also, the SEC is not an organization in a legal sense, therefore, every school and Sankey personally are on the hook for damages as well as the president of tenn who we all suspect was involved. Don’t pay Tony’s number and the case will be tried to a jury. Tried to a Jury by one of the very best trial attorneys in the country, Tony.
I would suspect the case settles quickly prior to discovery, but the SEC attorneys are either stupid or they advised Sankey correctly and he would not listen.

Over $5 billion each to make an example of SEC.

They will pay Tony whatever he wants to do discovery. He shouldn’t take less than 20-50 million. They will pay

Had a convo with an atty this evening. He’s pretty connected.
Sounds like the SEC office was working in REALLY BAD FAITH, including lying to U.S. Govt officials. Says things will get ugly, not sure if we will see it but the SEC really screwed up and Louisiana has all the goods.
Just what I heard, but I’d trust this guy.

Don’t be dumb. Wright and Harris are going to take them for 8 figures.

Ruffino was saying the same thing in his show. He was saying he hopes this is over because what he’s heard comes next, if this continues, will be really ugly.
At this point, I say let them burn.

There will ABSOLUTELY “be lawsuits” but, the SEC and the NCAA will settle because DISCOVERY.
The NCAA and the SEC are going to pay for their arrogance. They will pay big time and not just to the two players that have been at the center of the issue.

People will lie to themselves and say “LSU chickened” but in reality SEC will lose. They still have to fight a suit in which LSU legally can’t be reprimanded for

Is this really a surprise? All the years we talk about “The Rec”. We’ve known the corruption. Seems as though things are coming to light. Alignment was real. Just needed the right coach.
