How badly does the local media want J Lee to win the QB job?
its slipped into every blog and article that the Advocate does. Something like "Miles has indicated that Jefferson has the lead but Lee is clearly the sharper QB so far in practice and Jefferson sucks at throwing every short route while Lee is pure awesomeness."
This is complete bullshite

Noticing an uncovered defender coming to your face side and making a decision that does not result in a batted and intercepted ball is not going improve on the practice field.
This statement of complete stupidity should bar the poster forever. You have no idea, NONE, about what you just posted. You are stupid and should never be allowed to reproduce.

As a member of the media(not in Louisiana), I can tell you most media members could give a damn who starts at QB at LSU.
You don't know what you are talking about. It's a conspiracy I tell you! A conspiracy!

Gee, maybe because the media NEVER said anything like that sonnyboy.

Dude you're exaggerating. There was one day when they said that Lee looked sharper on his passing. That is all. They've said several times that Lee will most likely start as a backup. You need to relax.

I especially love this point,

i like how they've morphed JJ into a non-passer
he's black and he's fast, so he must not be a good passer?
I know WTF...The most ludicrous thing I read went something like "don't be surprised if you see Lee under center when the Tigers must run the 2 minute offense".
Why, in God's name, would we do this? Let's just pull the starter when we HAVE to score, that'll help JJ's confidence. This guy has diarrhea of the brain.

JL is going to see playing time this year. When he does I will hold my breath and hope like hell he has become the quarterback we all want him to be.
If somehow Les decides he's the starter, I will trust his judgement, but I will still be holding my breath. I will feel a little better knowing that if he has another mental collapse that there are three other QBs that can step in. Worst case scenario is we mostly abandon the pass and have Shep running the option. I can live with that.
+1
Good post!

They did this is in the spring as well....
Saw lee scrimmage twice and nothing was different. Hell he threw a pick 6 in the first one

He had ample time to show improvement, and IMO, digressed.
I hate when our qb's stray from the main topic and ramble.

um..

While Jefferson has solidified his role as the starter, there are still plenty of story lines to keep the position interesting...
While the starting job is Jefferson’s, Lee is the immediate backup and remains an intriguing wild card as the season draws nearer.
In the week since fall practice began, Lee has appeared to be the most comfortable and confident quarterback in non-contact drills. He has shown a stronger and more accurate arm than Jefferson or Shepard, crisply delivering the ball right where receivers want it.
During the last 12 roller-coaster months, Lee has evolved from a wide-eyed redshirt freshman — who under the right circumstances might not have taken a snap under pressure yet — to being the most SEC-tested of the group.
So, Lee will remain a challenger to Jefferson all season long and Lee could get his share of snaps in every game, particularly if Jefferson stumbles or in obvious passing situations.

Are you by chance, on a host of medications?
You should participate in discussions that fit your qualifications.

What about my statement do you not understand, and I will take one attempt to help you.

You're going to have to help him along a bit.

couple things lee needed to improve on:
1. throwing off his back foot
2. locking on to primary receiver
3. throwing into double coverage

Poor choice. Regress. Go backwards.

it's clear to see that there is no real QB controversy.
but the media wants ratings/sell papers, so they feel the need to create controversy.
this isn't really hard to figure out.
