I like Herm as a pro analyst. He was unwatchable Saturday. I can't imagine he would have any desire to be there.

Pretty much my opinion. He was out of his milieu.

I think he was among the worst broadcasters I have ever listened to. . .

"you're exactly right."

BTW, he said that in response to every sentence uttered by the play by play guy.

He wasn't good. But he was far better than Lundquist or Chris Collinsworth.

So, no matter how bad anyone thought Hermie came across, at least he hit the long nail on the head.

...of course they do. What do you expect for a "bottom of the barrel" SEC contest? There's a reason the game is on ESPNU for god sake. I'm just glad all LSU games are televised. Does anyone remember when you had to listen to the radio? Herm sucks but it could be much worse fellas.

Has he done live games before? That was my thought. He's got potential, he just needs practice. It was nice of ESPN to set him up in their D-League.

Herm needs to look up the meaning of elaborate. He only misused it about 10 times. He needs to limit his public speaking engagements to post game press conferences following a loss.

YOU PLAY TO WIN THE GAME!

Meh, I've heard a few worse, one was calling my Steelers game yesterday (Charles Davis)

He is going to be doing the LSU game this week as well. At least thats what he told me on twitter.

Covering college games just seems to not be he his thing, however, his insight was pretty good and if he would like an OC job next year, I mean I know it would be a step down theoretically, but

yeah, I like him a lot as a talking head on ESPN, he sucked as color guy though. Doesn't have a clue when he's supposed to chime in.

I have to agree on terrible. My dad and I did keep ourselves entertained watching him. It had a real Mystery Science Football feel to it. It was just too easy. I've always thought he was sounded a little dense doing NFL analysis, but that took it to a new level. He was just flat wrong about so many things.

Overall The U is subpar. Camera guy missing plays, the camera they use either can't zoom more than 10x or they filmed it from a friggin blimp.

I thought overall it was poor. Especially big herm. He called a texas hs football game a few wks ago and at the time I thought no way he gets a college game.

he became my favorite broadcaster by simply stating what we all know.
