Mettenburger, who had immense talent, couldn't unseat JJ, who had none. If Brandon is equal to last year, which wasn't very good, he will remain starter. Les doesn't believe in taking a chance.

Based on last year, one off season arrest.

I believe that Miles will be so much on the hot seat that he will have no choice but to have Harris on a short leash. If and I hope he doesn't struggle we will quickly see Etling warming up.

Brandon Harris has been in the Les\Cam offensive system for three years. It would take a Herculean effort and a small miracle for Etling to overtake Harris at this point
...yeah I'm sure its such a complex system that its impossible to learn after one year.

Let's hope that Etling never sees the field because Harris is good.
But in reality Harris of last season is a pretty low bar that any average qb should be able to reach.

Sorry but as bad as harris looked in some games last year, he still looked better than Jennings ever did. So no, Jennings should've never seen the field unless harris got seriously injured. Experience or not.

Just happened to pop back up at the right time! You are completely wrong! Jennings didn't play at all last season. You, me and everyone else had no ideal how Jennings would have performed last season because he never got the chance with Les Miles' bizarre way of sticking with a certain QB. All you are going by is how Jennings played the year before. Jennings could have improved a great deal and we wouldn't know because he never got the chance to show it.
So, I don't blame him for transferring because he did not wanna go through another season of not playin. Jennings deserved the right to play in some of those games last season just like Jarrett Lee did when he got benched in favor of Jefferson after the Alabama game. A lot of schools handle situations like that easily by letting QB's play. In some of those games where Harris looked horrible I would have liked to see Jennings come in and see if he had improved, but we'll never know now because of how Miles' does shite.

quote:Did you see how he performed last year? Obviously he has to be much worse than that to move Les Miles. And last year was pretty damn bad.
How bad does BH6 have to frick up before the start Etling bus takes off?
I am guessing he has to be physically unable to take the field.

I have been a big Harris supporter since he got here. Yes, I was one of the Jennings Ranters that wanted him out, and I still stand by it. I believe in Harris.

So, you decide to bring some up? What was the drama at QB last season? Harris took the 1st snap and every meaningful snap of the season. Where the frick was the drama in that?

Etling won't get a start this season. He'll barely see playing time. The kid isn't ready for SEC defenses

I'm good friends with one of the players and he said the same. He seems to believe that this kid will take Brandon's job by the end of the year. I don't believe that however. BH6 will have to get hurt for this to happen this year.

There are a number of folks on here who have been in love with BH before he even signed with LSU.
They will not even accept the thought that they maybe were wrong about him no matter what.

You must have just started watching LSU football. It doesn't matter if he learns the system. It's all about who Les trust. Didn't 1/9/2011 teach you anything
