Okay,
Henderson
IL put dyer, Clyde, etienne and gallman in there too.
That was easy. Didn’t google. Thanks for waiting.

How are we looking for Running back next year?

I am reading many reports that Holly is expected to be dismissed when he is due in court in July. He also listed on the website as well.

KJ avg I believe 3.8 yds per carry? With bad vision. Imagine what he can do with good vision and patience. LSU runs a lot of zone read so you have to see what the defense is doing and let the play develop before hitting the hole. Josh and Durham were good at that. KJ can get better with reps. If they ran more gap plays KJ would be much better because it's much less about letting the play develop. It's more about hitting the hole quickly.

I think he’s more of a natural RB than he is a WR. I thought he could have been moved to RB instead of JJ last year. He doesn’t look very good as an actual receiver of the football, but he’s fricking awesome taking handoffs and running with it. We were thinner at WR last year, though, so I get keeping him there.
I heard there were a lot more plays in the spring getting him the ball that way at or behind the LOS. If there’s an injury, I think he’s easily the #1 option to move to RB and is likely better, than anybody we would get from the portal. And we have Lindsey, and RB is typically the easiest position to transfer to as a freshman.
So, I think we’re good at RB. If a portal guy just falls in our lap, fine. But I definitely don’t think it’s a position we need to aggressively go after. Because, despite what he said, I think that likely sends Jackson to the portal, and I don’t think I’d like that trade of 1 year of whoever we might get over 2 more years of Kaleb.

I had forgotten about ZT. Good way for him to contribute in a position of need and he is stout. Tough to get on the field at WR this year.

It's really:
1. Durham - will be by far the carry leader
2. Jackson
3a. Berry - will play a different type spot I think than traditional RB; good receiver
3b. Lindsay
That isn't super deep and the drop off after Durham is substantial.

He runs super hard and seems to be formidable to tackle. I would love to see him get some carries in unique formations. Not sure he's a power I kind of guy, but I like the ball in his hands.

(I googled) 5'10 195. Played all over including some RB at Ehret. Had some running plays at State
See what group he starts with on Day 1 of fall practice.

Imma going to make a bold prediction , Trey Holly returns and is either going to lead the team in rushing or be 2nd in leading the team in rushing . His case is over in July and a I bet he wants to prove everyone wrong that has forgotten about him

Has he even been practicing with the team?

No Josh Williams to at least pass block anymore.
Hot take. Josh Williams wasn't good at pass protection.

I dint think that’s even that hot a take
he botched pass pro a lot last year.

I think the offense was disjointed last year. He wasn't in the right position to make an effective block sometimes. Josh was excellent in pass pro previously and when the assignments are followed/understood, he was a very good blocker.
ETA:
Also the interior offensive line was pretty bad. He had a lot of free rushers coming through that likely should've been chipped or manned up before getting to where Josh was.

Kaleb Jackson negatively impacted the development of Kaleb Jackson, and he basically said as much in an interview recently. Jackson actually got 13 MORE carries as a sophomore than he did his freshman year, despite Josh taking a lot of the load and Durham coming in and showing him up. He flat out said he put on too much weight, was getting back down to 225 range and really had lost his first step. He was learning a lot last year and was just not effective at all.
I respect this level of self-awareness from a player, especially in the portal era when they can leave whenever they want to reset somewhere else. Most aren’t interested in staying where they are and working on improvement, so kudos to him. Here’s hoping he tears it up next season.

Running back position has been missing ever since 2016
Remember CEH and TDP? The former helped lead us to a national title and the latter holds the school record for rushing yardage in a single game.

quote:Lol Michael Ford wasn't even that back. He was great but his years Spencer Ware was used as the battering ram. Ford ran a lot more off tackle/stretch runs than down your throat eye formation
Need a power back and run I formation.
We don't even have a Michael Ford type in the stable.
