Caveat these are players I saw play:

DE's Gabe Northern and Marcus Spears
DT's Leonard Marshall and Booger McFarland
NT Henry Thomas
OLB Michael Brooks (Best dplayer I ever saw at LSU) Eric
Hill
MLB Bradie James and Kevin Minter
CB Tommy Casanova and Patrick Peterson
S Eric Reid and Jamal Adams
NB Tyran Mathieu
PR Tommy Casanova

I listed enough at the positions to play 4-3 or 3-4 hence NT.

If you saw Casanova then you saw Estay play too. Not to have him at DT makes your list not so great.

I did see Estay play and he was a great DT. However I could only have 2 DT's and I had to leave off some other studs as well Dorsey, Lavalais, Karl Wilson to name a few.

In my opinion Marshall and Booger were the two most dominant I saw play. Not a slight at Estay at all. I am sure people will mention Landry at Safety and Corey Webster at corner and Trev Faulk but and they all were great players but these were my pics as best of the best i saw.

That was toughest call Marshall was a beast so I had to have him MVP of the 82 defense and Booger was so dominant. Dorsey right there if I added a 3rd would pick him no doubt

Kyle Williams and Booger McFarland are the first team DT's.

Looks pretty good, but given I don't know the parameters of the players you saw play, I can't really critique it constructively.

ALBERT RICHARDSON still holds several LSU records for tackles and was clearly one of the greatest inside linebackers to ever wear purple &a gold. With all due respect to Brodie James, he couldn't hold Albert's jock!

Calling him Brodie is the opposite of respect.

Albert had more career tackles 454 to 418
Bradie had more in a single season 154 to 150
Bradie had more sacks 14 to 9
Bradie had more TFL 33 to 14

Richardson was a beast and Ill lsten to an argument for him over Bradie, but to say Bradie could hold his jock is ignorant.

Estay was sort of an enigma. At 225 lb he was much to small for that position. Yes, even in the 70s DTs were generally much bigger than that (250-260) I recall quite vividly in the 1971 Alabama game when Estay was pancaked by John Hannah.

I go back to Casanova's time so yes saw Richardson play. One of my all time favs and that 82 season he and Lawrence Williams were beasts. That defense held Bama without a first down for the entire first half.

So after the Marshall, Mcfarland Dorsey decision the James, Minter, Richardson decisin was almost as difficult.

Any list of Tiger defensive stars which omits greats like George Bevan and Mike Anderson can't be taken seriously.

I know these '60s stalwarts are small by today's standards, but they shined during their era and need to be praised accordingly for their achievements.

Jerry Stovall could be added to that list...he played DB & halfback, came in 2nd in Heisman voting & had a long Pro career with the Cardinals...

Again guys I go back to players I saw as I said in OP.
As far as comment no Honey Badger list is shite you might go back and reread my OP and see where HB is listed as nickel. By far his best position on the edge not out wide as corner.

Well the list got zero upvotes. I shouldn't be the one telling you it's shite.
