If you haven't booked by now you might wanna look in Hammond.
ETA: seriously though, you probably won't be able to find anything in Athens. Start looking at the surrounding cities.

There's a shite ton within 20-45 minutes in a lot of different suburbs. Gainsville, Snellville, Doraville, Duluth, Buford....etc more to mention.

Check Madison as well, there are a few places and it's about a 30 min drive to Athens.

Buford or Lawrenceville will probably have available rooms.
Cities probably a little closer to Athens:
Statham
Bethleham (sp?)
Winder
These aren't exactly tourist spots though so I don't know if they even have hotels.

Commerce has available rooms about 20 miles outside Athens.

Try Hotel Indigo in Athens, they had rooms a week or so ago because they just started taking reservations. The hotel is brand new.
