Don't know how long it takes for you to get there as I come over from GA. But a lot of places to stay in Hoover and that's makes it a lot easier to get to the park.

The new On Tap where Ted's Montana Grill used to be is good for beer and pub grub. The new Residence Inn is a very nice place to stay. Firebirds is a very good place to eat. It's a wood fired grill and some sort of chain out of Aspen.

Why get Cajun Food outside of La when you live in Cajun Country? Of course it is not going to be nearly as good as in La, stick with what the locals eat.

Golf Courses...can we talk more about that for those in the know ? Public courses and prices, where should I play. Not looking to play for over 50 bucks though..

Bent Brook is probably where you want to play, just west of Hoover on I459. If you want to venture downtown Birmingham, Highland Park is a fun course. It's real short but always in great shape. Ballentrae is a decent deal as well, but you might need a GPS to find it.

I'm gonna give you the best

Golf: Farmlinks...about 35 minutes down 280... imaculate course and best in AL in my opinion. 129 bucks will get you lunch, sodas all day, unlimited golf.

Food: Gotta plug my place here...Flip Burger Boutique at The Summit...Come check us out!!!

Sights: Nada...Unless there is some good music in town you best stay in your hotel room watching Sportscenter.

Hell, you're in AL, you'd think that's what they'd do best.

"4.5 hrs"?? It's almost 400 miles. You'd have to be doing 97 mph to make it that quickly.

I didn't know that the state of Alabama had anything other than a barn for the locals to screw livestock in on Saturday nights.
